A passion project and a ray of hope in an otherwise bleak-looking industry.

No. Just no. Not when it was released, and not today.

This one is a hard one, but right now I am leaning towards NOT recommending it at this stage. The reason being the amount of content vs. the current asking price.

I had fun for the 12 hours I've played, but even after just a few hours, I had seen all the player archetypes, weapons, upgrades, maps and enemy variants. I currently have no interest in going back to the game before it gets more content.

However, I am sure the game will grow into something awesome eventually. So if you get it on sale, give it a whirl, and then let it rest until it's done. It'll likely be a worthwhile investment.

Rogue City is all about shooting enemies in the face. That's what you do the vast majority of the 15 hours runtime. As such, the game would be absolutely fantastic if it had the gunplay of "Insurgency: Sandstorm" or "Ready or Not". The way Rogue City plays now, it's only passable. It could've been so much more.

Had it been released in the mid-2000s, Rogue City would be considered mediocre. But we're so starved for these types of games nowadays, that I happily welcome this loveletter to a favorite movie of mine.

Well worth buying, at least at a small discount. It's certainly a lot better than their previous effort with Terminator: Resistance. If Teyon keep at it like this, then their next few games will be something to truly look forward to.

This is by far the best one yet in this series. It's sadly only three big puzzles, and that's it. More like a demo.

But the actual puzzles are great, and there is much more replayability due to the challenges of trying to achieve the golden tickets.

I only wish it was longer.

Solid little puzzle game. It will take you and a friend about two hours to complete, but it's well worth the asking price.

It's just an extremely lazy and shallow experience. And of course, the game is buggy and performs poorly. It feels as if Starfield was thrown together in under a year. Worse than ever, for Bethesda. The story is decent for the main questline and some of the larger side-questlines. But the actual gameplay leaves an enormous amount to be desired.

If you do end up buying it, please try to just ignore the fact that it's open world. Play Starfield as if it was a linear story-driven RPG, that is the way you'll get the most out of it. Even then, you won't get a whole lot out of it.

It's not bad, but it's too short and linear, and there are too few new mechanics for the asking price.

Only buy it at a discount, if you've played everything else in the franchise.

The gameplay isn't very inspired. The puzzles are your typical 2.5D style puzzles (climbing, jumping, pushing boxes into certain positions, etc), and sometimes the game doesn't communicate well enough to the player which direction your character is going to run or jump, causing you to fall to your death. There is a lot of trial and error in this game. So while the gameplay is OK, it's nothing more than just that.

With that said, everything else is absolutely fantastic. The graphics are great, and the world and character design is magnificent. It's beautiful and gruesome all at once. The sound design too - and especially the music - is truly awe-inspiring. One of the best videogame soundtracks I've ever encountered. If you don't believe me, check the soundtrack out over on Spotify. The choice of music for the final epic encounter is pure perfection.

Bramble, for me, brings back memories of the bedtime stories my grandmother used to tell me as a child, as was tradition in the olden days. The Scandinavian tradition of telling frightening stories to children, keep them on the straight and narrow. Bramble evokes exactly that feeling in me.

You might not want to buy Bramble for challenging or innovative gameplay. But you SHOULD buy Bramble for the atmospheric experience it offers. It's got a steep asking price, but certainly at a discount there is no reason to not buy it if you're into 2.5D puzzle platformers. This is one of the best of its kind.
