Your first launch will be a disaster. Almost certainly a *hilarious* disaster, as multiple parts go screaming off into the distance and your rocket explodes in a dozen different ways.

Your next few launches will probably be similar. Then you'll get it off the ground, and your Kerbal won't die screaming, but instead will land safely under the gentle descent of a parachute.

The feeling of actually getting in to space? I'm choking up just thinking about it. Then when you figure out how to orbit? Go to different worlds? Land on them? Dock two craft together? Each event *feels* like a true accomplishment, with an impressive amount of satisfaction alongside it.
