Still sticking with the comment on June 9th below, but with additional comment.

I have read the new DLC (Frontier Pass DLC) comments, and saw many complaining about the crashing. Since I have not yet bought it, it should not be a problem. However, after the update, I would crash after 2-3 hours in game and crashed too many times since the update that I could have remembered.

If you are making the game good, fix the crashing for all platforms!

TL;DR: This game cannot be played in multiplayer with a Mac system and Windows system, which is the violation of the laws where I am right now, and also sucks that you have to install bootcamp to play if you only have a Mac.

So I have been a PC user for quite a while and this game has no problem for me to multiplayer with my friend. Recently I have moved back to my hometown and with an outdated PC, I decided to play the game on my 15' MacBook Pro. The performance is perfect, but this is not the problem.

As I had mentioned before, I play this game with my friend. We have tried many times to connect each other to the server but failed. The version was mismatch for Mac and Windows despite they are both up to date.

This is very clear that the developers do the update in separate and thus making both operating system version in a different version thus cannot connect to each other. This game has been sold as a cross-platform game and this big flaw makes it violates the laws of Hong Kong (Trade Descriptions Ordinance 商品說明條例, Cap. 362) already because they are not cross-platform game (As I bought this game in Hong Kong). I am considering right now to report this to the Hong Kong authorities because of the false claim of this product.

I am not considering to install BootCamp, which is one of the solution, because 1. This game has been sold as cross-platform, and 2. because my MacBook Pro is still dedicated to my study and video editing purposes and short-term replacement of my PC. As such it is not ideal for me to install Bootcamp when the developers claims they are a cross-platform game while you have to be on the same operating system to play the game with your friends. And I don't want to buy an extra Windows 10 key just because of this game.

I am a long time fan of the franchise but given such huge flaw and user-unfriendly, this might makes me hesitate to support the series and buy the brand new expansion pack. Please fix this problem because I just want to play this game during this Covid crisis and that I do not hope that this small problem could not be fixed by the developers that had created a big and huge reputation and use this to make them looks bad and destroys it.

Better Graphics than Civ V, although I still prefer the gameplay of Civ V, the graphics and the same endless playing experience that I loved is still here so I still recommend.

I cannot stop myself from playing this ugh.
