I just tried the evaluation and it was pretty entertaining, but what are those PC controls? Arrow keys and F to confirm, R and T to change between tabs, and no mouse support for menus? Who made these controls???

Fun little game. Great for Steam Deck.

Plenty of minigames with more to unlock by playing the game. And some really hilarious animations.

A lot of repetition if you want to 100% it. But if you open it every now and then, you'll get there eventually.

Not satisfying.

I am really sorry. The game would be a lot of fun otherwise. I just can't play it anymore, I tried it for half an hour and it felt really unsatisfying. Why? Because whenever you clean something, and leave a spot that you know you left, and want to come back to it later... when you clean like 95% of the object's surface, it will do a little "DING!" and autocompletes the object for you. Which makes it REALLY unsatisfying.

If you want to know what I am talking about, here is a little video example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gETsUp2qYQQ .

If there was an option in the settings to turn this thing off, or if there was a "hardcore" mode that would not autocomplete anything for you, or if there was a threshold option on how much % of the object we want it to autocomplete, I would absolutely love this game. But this thing just infuriates me and that's why I am going to refund it.

I'll keep my eye on the updates of this game and if this ever gets adressed, I will be more than happy to buy it again.

It seems that the real treasure was the gold we dug along the way

Nice little game.

It takes like an hour to beat

I noticed some minor graphical bugs (flickering textures sometimes).

There's also an achievement mode once you finish the game that makes the gameplay longer, if you are into that.

I can't recommend it in the current state.

For a 25th anniversary release of the Sims I would expect the devs to give it some love. Maybe optimalization for higher resolution screens (the tiny house selection screen looks like a joke).

Instead, you get a really big mess that, for a lot of people, can't even be launched without tweaking something.

For example I have 2x 1920x1080 monitors. I couldn't get the game to start, it was always hanging on ingame loading of the expansions. From the Steam discussions I was able to find a fix for it.. I had to change the resolution of my monitor to 1280x720 or 800x600 to be able to launch the game and succesfully load all the expansions. Once all the expansions loaded, I was able to quit the game and change the resolution back to my normal one. After that the game launched normally.

What is the weirdest thing is that it runs way better on Steam Deck, I didn't even need to fiddle with anything to have it working.

And that's another problem. I would love to have a Steam Cloud, that way I could play on my Deck and on my PC with the same saves. That would be awesome.

I am more than happy to re-review the game once some patches are released.

Early Access Review
Not sure why this game is still being sold at this point.

This game is not being developed anymore. Don't trust what's written in the Early Access info of the Steam store page, nobody is working on the game.

The future of this game is unknown.

Currently the offices of the developers are being emptied out.

Do not buy this game, unless for collectors purposes. Or when the game is transferred to some other developers (if that ever happens).
