If you love the Fallout Games/TV series then you'll love The Outer Worlds!

Plays in tandem to Fallout and has similar gameplay mechanics and functionality as well as it's own unique storyline, Side Quests, Dialogues, Companions, Collectables, Characters, Enemy types, Locations/Planets, Fast travelling abilities, Weapons, Perks and other core features such as; character and weapon modifications as well as a crafting system that yet again works similar to Fallouts scheme and has a consequential/karma progression system for each of the colony groups you join along your travels across the cosmos and throughout the game making your decisions determine what playstyle your playthrough/or experiences will be which can either; Postively impact or Negatively impact relationships with your colony and companions thus altering your players stigma and overall percentage of trust and communications with them later on down the road leading to different dialogue options, responses, outcomes, paths and endings all tailored around how you play and the different difficultly spikes selected upon selection of your savefile which can be changed at any point throughout the your playthrough.

Would I say this is better than Fallout? Yeah and No, but the game itself deserves it's own recognition other than being labled as a mimic imitation of Fallout, and I truly believe this game deserves a Sequal.

DLC adds an additional 20-30hrs of content (which is not too bad considering the main game is about 50-60hrs in length depending on how good you are) Also the DLC is ram packed with fresh new quests, weapons, character items and cosmetics, also an increase in player level cap and more unique perks to unlock as new Planets to explore and colonys to discover.

On the whole I had an absolute blast playing this game from start to finsh and would recommend it to all if you can pick it up for a decent price.

What's makes this unique is the fact that it uses Fallouts structure but adds it's own flair by making it and putting it In space!

What's not to love?

After spending a decent amount of hours playing this game I have finally been pushed to my absolute limits and have decided to uninstall this game and write my first ever negative review and here's why.

I feel this game like many other 'Free to play' games are generally designed with one common purpose/goal in mind and that is to empty your wallet of funds. I really did try to like this game as the overall aesthetics of the game are really well put together and the fusion of poker and monopoly being fused into one was quite an inventive idea however is poorly executed and let down by the gameplay mechanics as it tends to lean in the opposite direction immediately forcing you everytime you login to the game you are met with a age verification system (for gambling reasons, which is somewhat understandable) but is absolutely a waste of time and is pointless to say the very least because that's what age ratings are for allegedly, you also have to sign in using a email and password and then ontop of that mess you are consistantly bombarded with so called 'Chip & Monopoly money deals' yet again pressuring you into buying their microtransactions each time the game has booted into the main menu which is completely absurd seeming as the game is labled as 'F2P' and these microtransactions shouldn't be shoved into the players/consumers faces every single time they play the game as I feel that is a very shady business practice to say the least and just plain annoying.

I'd go as far as saying that this game is definately NOT 'Free to play friendly' as the match ups are biased, the decks seemed suspiciously rigged and mulipulated, with a wonky AI system and the login bonuses are lack luster and not worth the retention span, the clock timer when playing your hand is way to fast to even make a valid decision and play your hand more adequately resulting into a automatic fold/flop situation and then there is the "lucky dice mini-game" aka Liars dice, which is unlocked at level 15 (And word of caution: Avoid playing it at all costs!) it is overally rigged and is designed to make you lose all of your chips! All part of the developers elaborate scheme to milk the cash cow further.

Avoid the liars dice at all costs!! As previously mentioned, you will want to avoid the lucky dice minigame like the plaque as you will end up with no chips to play with.... no chips = No play, No play = Waiting upto 4 hours for a free dice spin to amass back a few chips if not any on which sometimes isn't enough to even cover the costs of a 'Buy-in' even with the lowest table buy-in being 20k chips, and even then if you do strike it lucky on the monopoly board to play the low buy-in table you can quite easily wind up back to 0 chips being beaten/trolled by users who have a larger chip balance as you which means you are sometimes forced with constant rise and all-in challenges which can ruin the game experience entirely for those who are literally trying to win without being forcably ejected from the table by those who have deep pockets, this in theory stumps your progress as you now have no chips and can't complete the daily tasks which is another throw off to the game as you need to constantly be completing your daily tasks to even stand a chance at progressing further, and by doing so will award you with a time limited XP boost depending upon which league you are sitting in and most importantly chests.

Chests can contain the following: Monopoly money (Which is used for the monopoly board to help upgrade and put houses/hotels on a specific card which increases it's chip value worth if you we're to land on it) you can also get from the chests: Chips which are limited from 5k upto 50k depending on how many stars you have acquired from a specific task (which is not worth it seeming as you have to put alot of time and chip investment into it onto which you do not gain much back to even split-even or make a small profit back with) you also get from chests: Emoji's (which is used for the games in-chat system which with the fast clock timer is a horrible idea as you cannot talk and play at the sametime in fears of having your hand automatically folded) you also get from chests booster card packs which contain cards from the monopoly board, you have to acquire ex-amount of duplicates to earn a upgrade and build a house/or hotel using your monopoly money on which monopoly money at some point becomes harder to obtain and more grindy to get as the more houses you add to a card the more the upgrade will cost the next time round. You can also earn league ranks which are (TIMED EVENTS) Yes! That's right! You start off as an apprentice and slowy work your way up to highier leagues. Leagues are devided up into three ranks: Apprentice 1, 2, 3 and then league up and so on and so fourth... each league yelds it's own perks such as; Better Login rewards, chest items and XP boosters, but yet again fumbled by the timed events, because if you miss but one and fail to complete your leagues daily/or weekly challenges as well as filling the XP metre up to level up (To secure your league placement), you will be dropped down either a whole level or WORSE... be depromoted a whole league which means you must grind yet again through levels 1,2 3 to league up again pressuring you to play more than what's actually needed which leads me to saying.

The problem with this is that it starts off fairly decent and doesn't require alot of XP to level up but here's the ultimate kicker... if you level up from the apprentice league to the pro league you have 42 hours to reach the tick indicator on the XP tracker to remain seated in your league rank which may sound fair and easy at first but becomes more problematic when you reach the Shark league or above as the XP requirements are horrendously impossible to reach in time thus you are forced to play on the Highier buy-in tabels to amass even more XP which comes at a Risk and at the cost of loosing all your chips... not to mention some of the daily requirements will also push you to great lengths to play on more 'High Risk Tables' to get you to lose your chips again and again and again... and banks on you buying some from the in-game store which is all a elaborate plan to get you to spend real life cash which is why I'm now giving this game a hard pass and will advise anyone reading this to do the same also as there are far better poker games here on Steam and unfortunately, this isn't one of them.

A brilliant throw back to the nostalgic duo and day's of Banjo-Kazooie on the Nintendo 64! On which arguably had the best line up of Rareware games to date! Such as; Golden eye 007, Perfect Dark, Jet force Gemini, Diddy Kong Racing, Donkey Kong 64, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, Killer Instinct and Blast Corps.

With the current devide of the Rareware Team and having being boughtout by Microsoft (Such a waste), atleast we got the creative minds and some of the best developers we could ever ask for to make this absolute master piece.

And with none other than the man himself, the musical wizard of rare; Grant Kirkhope!

Providing us with more of his musical master pieces, truly a legend in his own right.

I'd like to thank all those at Playtonic Studios for providing us with a new, exciting, duo and game and wish you every success moving forward with this new adventure.

Would Highly recommend this to everyone who appreciates the nostalgic feel this game gives 👌

As of update 7.5 I have finally been pushed to write a review for this game, and not a pleasant one either

Where to begin?

I have been playing this Match 3 Game for about 4 years now, on and off, with almost over 3k hours spent playing on steam (plus the additional 2k hours on mobile) it's now one of them games that I do really regret starting and investing my time into and here's why.

Dont get me wrong, this game started off alright and was ticking all of the boxes, it was once fun, fresh, and chill to play, but as the years have gradually gone by the game has become more and more of a grind fest, repetitive, dull and absolutely boring, offering little to no retention span to want even play for longer periods of time which leads me to saying this game absolutely eats and saps up soo much of your time it's beyond a joke at this point, it's almost as if the game has manifested itself into a full time job constantly throwing multiple events, tasks, objectives and things to tackle all at once which becomes more than overwhelming, and no, I'm not exaggerating when I say this, this game is an absolute grindfest.

Each update supposedly adds something "New'' to the game according to the developers, but all I see is washed up, recycled, braindead ideas, all fabricated behind the idea of locking in-game items behind a pay-wall (which, suprise surpise!) Thus making the game less enjoyable for both long-term or short-term players not mention newer players on the whole. I feel this game is getting worse and worse every update with no real signs or intentions of mending itself, and the game itself is becoming more paid to win than it is "free to play friendly" on which is really sad and pathetic and really scummy and all the developers care about is their paychecks! They do not care or listen to their community, which is leading player counts to decline and make those whovhave played and supported their game for years to become obsolete, inadvertently making us (veteran players) quit the game entirely because the game has become more and more of a chore, and a absolute time waste.

Not to mention the abundance of, get ready!

.Troops (1,400+) to obtain (Most of which are locked behind a paywall, that be Campaign pass+) rest are earned through chests and are at the soul mercy of the RnGeus.

.Kingdoms 38+ and 38+ Faction Kingdoms to unlock with Delves set to each of the factions kingdoms, all yelding upto 2,500 renown that you must obtain for each Faction. Upon completion will increase said kingdoms income and will give your hero certain buffs as well as other additional login bonuses that do little to nothing to your hero, other than increase a certain value by +1, not to mention the increased difficulty whilst playing Delves, as you eventually have to play that said kingdom with said kingdoms Faction team, meaning you are restricted(pure Faction run) and boy are you in for a ride!

.Learning Spell and cast types, Trait stones as well as individual card traits and weapon traits

.Hero Classes
Each Hero Class is unlocked by completing an extra Quest-line from a specific Kingdom. You must complete the original Quest-line before the Hero Class Quest-line becomes available. Each Class starts at Level 1 and can be upgraded up to Level 20, simply by spending souls.Increasing the level adds Skills Bonuses (attack, magic, armor, life) to the Hero. Each Class specifies a particular mana color for the Hero's weapon. You only get the magic skill bonus when you choose a hero weapon that uses that mana color.
Each Class specifies a particular mana color for a Gem Mastery bonus (which may be different than the weapon mana color mentioned above). Each increase to the Hero Class Level gives +1 to the Gem Mastery bonus, up to +20 at Level 20.
At Hero Class Level 10, the Hero counts as being from a particular Kingdom for Team Bonuses. It takes 4100 souls to upgrade each class from Level 1 to Level 20. For a detailed breakdown of souls per level, see Troop Leveling. Each Hero Class has 7 Talents to unlock by earning victories (Champion Levels) in a team with the Hero, while the Class is selected. Each Talent is unlocked in the Talent Trees section of the "Upgrades". It generally takes your Champion Level plus One to reach your next highest level. For Example, it takes 6 Wins to move from Level 5 to Level 6 (or, 21 Total wins with that Class)

Champion Level 1 (1 Win)
Champion Level 5(15 Wins)
Champion Level 10(55 Wins)
Champion Level 20(210 Wins)
Champion Level 40(820 Wins)
Champion Level 70(2485 Wins)
Champion Level 100(5050 Wins)
Hero Class Talents provide an extra skill or boost to a skill to specific type of troops. A total of the 36 classes to level 100!

.In-game currencies; Gold, Gems, Souls, Glory, Marks, War coins, Treasure Maps, Chaos Shards, Guild Seals, Laterns, Shiny Dust

.Game Modes that repeat themselves on a weekly Cycle; Invasion, Raid Boss, Bounty, Dungeons, Tower of Doom, Journey, World Events, Guildwars (Currently not playable as of writting this), Underspire (rip off to dungeons mode), Treasure hunt (A mode that was forgotten about), Legends Reborn (A mode that lets you replay a story of a Kingdom to unlock comestic pets, also repetitive) Delves (which are accessible always but limits you to three Sigils/plays a day unless you spend your hard earnt gems on Sigils, same principle applies to the Events above), Kingdoms Pass (TIMED event)which requires you to kill 10 kingdom battle crashers a day to advance on the reward board, useless rewards and waste of time.

.Gem types (too many to name)

.Forge items; Shards, Sapphires, Emeralds, Ruby's, Topaz, Amethyst, Garnet, Diamonds

.Cosmetics such as; Pets and Armour

.Pet bait/Gnome bait/Dragonite bait

.Chest keys; Gem keys, Gold keys, Glory keys, shiny keys, VIP keys, Guild Seal Keys, Vault keys, Epic Vault keys

.Orbs; Major/Normal
Growth, Ascension, Wisdom, Clans, Orb of Power, Orb of forging, Orbs of Ingots, Orb of Minions, lesser Orb of glory, Orb of Glory, Major Orb of Glory

.Resources; Verses, Books, Deeds, Sigils, forge scrolls, Ingots

.PvP, A wonky mode that everyone abuses any new Meta teams with, aswell as a pointless league system that bares no real rewards for the time or effort put in

Shiny Tokens was another new addition added, yet again requires you to be in a somewhat good and pre-active if not very active Guild, and requiring everyone to play 24/7 non-stop as if we don't already have enough to do, the reward requirements are horrendously impossible for people wanting to play and progress casually, and the rewards on the whole are really not worth the time sink and now with another new addition added; Citadel Sigils. Which are (and you guessed it) are indeed locked behind yet another paywall!! Yeah, No thanks! This is what's pushed me to write this review because the actual greed of this game is becoming obnoxiously out of hand, and it's even more evident that the developers only care for the monetization of their consumer base, unacceptable behaviour, the developers are at this point, are milking the living day lights out of this game because they are some who choose to fund them for their endless lust for greed.

On the whole, this game is never-ending! The continuous amounts of garbage and paywalls added to this game monthly is absolutely ridiculous, I'm starting to think that this game is being purposely dragged out because the developers are deadset on milking the cashcow, instead of putting their time and energy on a another game, just seems the agenda is far too obvious at this point and as much as I'd love to quit this game myself, I have now limited my gameplay hours instead, this is how incredibly bad this game has become, If you are a new player seeking to play this game, do yourself a favour & avoid this game at all costs!Unless you want to spend a eternity grinding and doing the same old, day in day out, for months and years on end.

A somewhat mediocre party board entry. Only it's made by a third party developer and in all actuality has a decent variety of; Boards with themes, Mini-games, Character customizations, soundtracks and much more!

It definitely does let off Fusion Frenzy type vibes with a mixture of Mario party thrown into the midst.

A fun game on the whole to play with friends or family members, or even solo against bots.

Would I recommend this?
Yes, for the price range and for what you get interms of content and hours of enjoyment you can gain from this game definitely deserves a play.

It's the closest we will ever get to a Mario party here on steam, let's just be honest.
