This game is terrible.

The controls are god awful. Trying to control Arthur's horse is always a fight, and half the features of the controller dont seem to work on PC.

The quests are paced so incredibly slow. Every quest seems to have a pointless 10 minute ride-along before devolving into a 5 minute firefight.

I don't want to watch my fool of a character get drunk and harass everyone in a bar. After watching five minutes of that, I decided I was done.

Edit: In most ways, my previous review still stands. But despite all the busywork the game puts you through, and all the ways it disrespects your time... It's a great story. One probably worth seeing.

Masterpiece

As a mod at no cost, I cannot recommend against it, it costs nothing to try.

I think that given the immense scope of the mod, certain small details had to be sacrificed for the larger whole. My issue is that the characters feel like they have no impact to what they do. The sound effects of their attacks are poorly matched to how much damage they do and the impact they have in fights.

It's a small complaint, but one that makes the difference for me.

Perhaps they will fix that eventually. The setting is excellent and very interesting. The narrator has a beautiful voice. Even better than the original game.

I would be the first to say that I did not really give this game as much of a 'chance' as I probably should have, but at the same time I feel as though I've seen enough.

It shows promise as an early access game and I hope the developers keep working on it. But it suffers from some issues that make it personally difficult for me to enjoy.

I would like to play this game again someday. Farther down the road of development.

Some examples are the following,
- The early part of the game feels like one long unending quest full of tedium. Running around to get enough resources to build something, only to get rewarded with a crafting station to build something else. Only to get another crafting objective, with another crafting station afterwards.
- The magnetism rate is rather poor for items nearby. Trees when chopped take a few seconds to drop the wood onto the ground. Mining rocks takes forever... These are all very small things. But it makes the game rather unrelaxing when you consider that (in the limited time I played at least) gathering resources is a regular thing.

In conclusion... It feels as though the game doesn't ease you into systems well, instead just funneling you through a huge list of menial quests. Coupled with a sluggish pace, it goes from a game that should be relaxing, to tiring.

Very good.

A clean interface and modernized game. It has a long way to go, or so I understand, but undeniably a good start.

It's cute. Buy it.

Edit: I would like an endless mode, but the game is not stressful. There is plenty of time to talk to people, not enough for everyone though.

Strange that I never gave this game a review.

It's one of the best I've ever played. A wonderful soundtrack, an interesting story, and a simple game.

That said, it has a lot of hidden depth, you can beat this game without seeing half of the content. If you like to sink time into a game, this is a good choice.

It's a promising start, but unfortunately very empty.

There is little to do outside of painting the map and personal roleplays.

It will probably improve with time, and certainly cost more money.

It's cute. Not bad overall but by the time you reach the later areas of the game it starts feeling somewhat tedious. A good game to enjoy for a few hours. I would say it's probably best to get it on sale, but I'd like to see more like it.
