ENG/ Hun (alant)

TLDR:
Buy it if you loved NFS Underground and similar games. It’s definitely worth the price.

Pros:
• Diverse World: Despite the map’s mix of Japanese and North American styles, both traffic and racers drive with a more chaotic, almost Balkan, style.
• Wide Selection of Cars: The impressive number of cars ensures that everyone can find their favorite, whether it's a classic or modern model.
• Detailed Visual and Engine Customization: CarX Street offers exceptional customization options, allowing players to tweak both the engine and the car's exterior appearance down to the smallest details, making it possible to create truly unique vehicles.
• Easy-to-Learn Drifting: The drifting mechanics are easy to pick up (unlike in many other games) and enjoyable, allowing beginners to quickly get into the groove while veteran CarX players can still enjoy the technical nuances.
• Soundtrack Suited to Illegal Street Racing: The game's soundtrack perfectly matches the vibe of illegal street racing, making the experience even more immersive.
Cons:
• Aggressive AI Racers: Opponent AI racers are often overly aggressive, sometimes acting like tanks that can easily push you off the road if they hit you. This can be frustrating, especially in close races.
• Disruptive Traffic: Traffic vehicles sometimes seem deliberately programmed to get in your way, particularly at intersections where they appear just as you're passing through. This often feels too intentional, which can ruin the racing experience. Additionally, there are instances where they signal in one direction but turn the opposite way.
• Lack of Official Car Brands: Due to licensing issues, official car brands are missing from the game. While the models are recognizable, many have empty spots where the logos should be, giving them an unfinished look. For instance, there's a blank square on the front of the Acura RSX, which detracts from its aesthetics. The car models could have used more polish.
• Grindy Progression: With 8 hours of gameplay under my belt, the money grind feels real. However, with smart race management, you can quickly earn enough cash. Plus, maxing out club races unlocks elite events where you can earn gold coins (though these have a long cooldown, they’re worth it).
• GPS Issues: The GPS occasionally guides you into dangerous situations, like oncoming traffic, and sometimes only warns you at the last moment that your speed might not be ideal for an upcoming turn.
Conclusion:
Overall, CarX Street, priced at 20 euros, is a perfect choice for those who miss the vibe, progression, and customization of illegal street racing games from the 2000s. It brings back that nostalgic experience with detailed customization options that go beyond the simple sticker-based modifications found in modern games. Although the decal option is currently missing, it’s planned for a future update. In the meantime, the extensive visual tuning and ability to modify nearly every part of the car more than make up for this shortcoming.
And a quick note: the game heavily relies on detailed engine tuning, so if your car isn’t handling as expected, it might not be the game’s fault—take a closer look under the hood.
If the developers listen to player feedback, this game has the potential to become a cult classic.

• Zavart okozó forgalom: A forgalomban részt vevő járművek néha úgy tűnik, mintha tudatosan próbálnának keresztbe tenni neked, különösen a kereszteződésekben, ahol pontosan akkor bukkannak fel, amikor odaérsz.
Több figyelmet fordíthattak volna a modellek kidolgozására.
Nézzetek jobban a motorháztető alá.
Ha a fejlesztők figyelnek a játékosok visszajelzéseire, ez a játék akár kult klasszikussá is válhat.

RIP lived 4 months.

So sad the devs didn't found the right balance for the problems becasue this game could be way better than For Honor.

What an interesting and surprisingly fun game!

Heading Out is a 30% Visual Novel,

60% Racing game which style reminds me to the old school racing games like Road Rash was back in the day...We jump into a linear map where we need to react fast to the road's obstacles and the shortcuts.

The other 10% is the rouglike elements...If we can call it like that.

The game drops some random encounters into the map and the main cities like story elements - where we can get additional stuffs..... collectibles, money, focus (stamina) - , side quests and races .... Some quest encounters could escalade to a bigger stories if the RNG drop it to us, so the game calls you to explore and go bigger roads in one run or even replay the whole game again and again.

This game not made to everyone , but those who bought by the trailer should give it a go...... because they will have a truly unique experience.
It is short, but the rng system will make you to replay it again.

At least to earn all the achievements. :D

What an experience.

Even with the awkard bugs what is in at the headstart this game will be a cult classic.

It's atmosphere, the game mechanics are so uniqe even myself - who don't really like the typical survival genre type grinding - im totally enjoy this game. Every zone gives you random events and factors into your gameplay when you enter it. This makes the game highly replayeable and enjoyable.

I always liked games where i need to take care something about. Like Death Stranding (Sam and his Equipment or BB), Days Gone ( our motorcycle) and like in Mad Max (your Magnum Opus) you need to manage and upgrade your car here too to survive the zone anomalies.

The musics are phenomenal too! With the minimalistic art design It boost the whole game vibes even higher.

So yeah...this game has some problems yet, but it can be fixed.

If you read this and you interested to the stuff after you watched the trailers or more reviews. Just buy it.

Oh and don't lose sight of the tourists.

In my 5 hours of playing time, I really like the mini-game so far, where we can get excited about the queuing RNG.
Sometimes I’m in 30th place and then the system will cut out and put it in 3000th place and then by 1700 for no reason.

What the game be like when the queuingis so exciting.

So what we got here?

This game is brought to you by the devs of Gears of War who are want to make their own Destiny.
They are promised the full game at this price and if the game is going to be a huge success there could me more expansions into it.

The game it has some problems at the start like every online game had at the headstart...but if its works its a fun and interesting with a very good mix of the classic looter shooter ( good ) elements.

So give it a try if you are interested...you can download a demo for the prologue too.

Lot of people wants to play in a modern warfare with the technologies and gadgets on it...Nobody wants to go with the mainstream and relive the history with a more casual mechanics like before.

The gamers are asked for this kind of game. And they listened.
