I am about 20 hours into the game as of writing this review. To start, I have never played a Piranha Bytes title, but have done a bit of video research on YouTube since starting my playthrough of Elex. Elex can be quite clunky at times due to exaggerated animations and slight unresponsiveness during combat. It's a bit tricky figuring out what quests you can and cannot complete based on the difficulty level of the enemies, but it's pretty obvious the developers went for a game world where you end up having to trial and error some of the missions based on level and atrribute points spent. I find myself going back and forth to some quests depending on what level I am and whether or not I obtained a new weapon recently to see if a certain mission has become easier. However, everything else the game has to offer shadows over the minor inconveniences. There is a lot of character depth and the game world has a lot to offer in terms of exploration. Just from jetpacking around to random areas that seemed interesting, I've come across a few fairly humorous easter eggs. All in all the game is quite entertaining and is worth the purchase.
