This game is pretty based. It runs bad like most Koei Tecmo ports. But it leaves room to create a more ambitious and proper FF ARPG.

I want more seemless co-op instead of a instance based system. Maybe 4 players, a relatively large map like those seen in FF12 and 14 while having loading zones between detailed larger maps, hubs, and etc. Maybe more phases or hp on bosses. I also want to see what more they can do with the job system (like beastmaster and blue mage). I do know the MMOs exist, but one can wish.

Will these happen? Probably not. But despite its goofy story and general roughness. SOPFFO is an unpolished gem that leaves FF and ARPG fans to desire more. If you feel unsure and confused, buy it on sale for like $40 with all the dlc it might be worth it then.

This game certainly something. Its like Wizardry + Etrian Odyssey map drawing with a Real Time Battle system that uses a 3x3 grid to have synergy skills and distribute buffs, heals, and passives. Somewhat unique game, unfortunately like many dungeon crawlers there is not a whole lot of story. Just some cryptic lore pieces. Definitely recommend and you cannot beat that price tag. its worth $7 if you just keep smashing your head against the wall and learn some viable builds.

Takes about 20~30 hours to complete the last boss. Not to 100% though, some of the optional bosses in the abyss are pretty difficult and you may find yourself reworking the grid to fight specific bosses. Though it is possible to fight the last boss and clear it at level 28 via defense spams and 2 damage dealers.

Being from the rainbow variety makes the town suspicious that you're a witch.

Overall, great art and fun. The game is well-made despite it's shortcomings, there are dungeons that are puzzles and overall while it may not be groundbreaking, it is a very beautiful game.

It feels like the SNES StarFox games. Its very fun and silly, but getting S ranks can be difficult.

The game isn't quite finished as of March '24 and the last patch was in September, but a good game.

This game is pretty well made for the content it gives, but the additional endings are pretty difficult. As for the 'clunk', the combat is slow but people are assuming it was made poorly or badly, just like many other games some weapons swing faster than others. The game becomes a joke when you use utilize magic as it just shreds bosses, and that is where the endings come in, aside from the free chest in the catacombs you have to beat the game without opening gold chests until a certain point.

Overall, the art style is pretty impressive. The story itself isn't so serious and I would say it's probably on the same level of goofy as Rabi Ribi but slower and a little more difficult than Rabi Ribi's easier modes.

Its okay. Theres a lot of gripes I have personally, but it just might be because I am more of Metroid enjoyer and not entirely familiar with the Castlevania series as whole. The last boss is kind of cringe though and I thought the moon boss right before was much cooler.

On the bright side you can customize the MC and make her really cute.

Its alright. The game itself has cool things, its a remaster of the DS version and not Millennium Girl. This type of game maybe more familiar with those who've played Wizardry except with a more convenient map drawing feature. The story is not very engaging it quite literally is "just go to here and theres a cool secret". One that is substantially better done story wise with an Atlus title released in 2013.

Overall, if you want good RPG mechanics with a engaging class/job system play another game. 100%'ing this means you might have to abuse bugs and tricking the A.I into not using certain moves by min maxing, and while there are multiple classes, some classes are all around much better than others late game and for expert runs certain builds maybe the only option.

Aside from that, this game on expert blind is a digital recreation of Croc and Brawl Torture. As for Atlus, they'd probably just make more if they ported Persona Q instead I doubt many would purchase this game aside from fans that enjoy this series.
