Absolutely breath-taking gameplay, and astounding story. I have always loved games adapted from novels and this is definitely in the top 5. If you haven't played Metro 2033 before, this is a great starting point. Having played through both, in my opinion, I would say this one is superior in both performance and asthetics.

I came into this game not knowing what to expect, so if you think it looks interesting, but haven't seen gameplay, this review is for you!

The story aspect of the game is phenomonal, but at times it seems more politcally based rather than the story of the witcher (first 10ish hours of game - more specifically first 2/3 chapters). However, the gameplay mechanics are - in my opinion - great once you get used to it. There are a lot of options for custimaztion, whether you want to be a more physical or magic oriented attacker. The way the game handles potions is a fun experiance, you can create your own if you know what to put together or go off formulus you can buy, and what I liked most is that they aren't standard "health potion" or "mana potion". The game really gives you a chance to make trade-off's, both plot line and character development.

Highly recommend the game, just make sure you have the time to put into it. This is not a game that is suited to the more action packed RPG afficianado's.
