Cuba, formeel de Republiek Cuba (Spaans: República de Cuba), is een land in het Caribisch Gebied, bestaande uit het eiland Cuba, Isla de la Juventud en ruim 4000 kleinere eilanden. Cuba heeft een alfabetiseringsgraad van 99,8%, een kindersterftecijfer dat lager is dan sommige geïndustrialiseerde landen, en een gemiddelde levensverwachting van 78,3 jaar, daarmee heeft Cuba een hogere levensverwachting dan de Verenigde Staten.
