After almost 2 years they still haven't implemented Ultrawide support. I can't recommend this game to anyone with a UW display because of that. It's truly a shame, I expected more from Supermassive.

They did it again. It's a masterpiece. Fantastic game design, engaging puzzles, stunning visuals, great sound design - I don't have a single bad thing to say about this gem.

I had this game for many years, and I really don't know why I didn't finish the campaign back then. But I finally did it now, and I have to say it's a fantastic action sci-fi campaign. Controls are top-notch. The gunplay feels very nice. Story is decent enough for an action game (certainly more entertaining than your average CoD story). Graphics are still great, and it runs at like 600fps with modern hardware (stutter-free!). Sound is great, voice-over is very good. Both the regular fps sections and the titan sections are very enjoyable. The campaign is 6 hours long and doesn't overstay its welcome. I think this is a perfect length for this kind of action campaign.

Highly recommended.

Planet of Lana is a great game. Gorgeous, great atmosphere, very well done sound and music, nice gameplay. The platforming is very enjoyable, but rather easy (I would have preferred it to be a bit more challenging at times). The puzzles are nice. Story telling is fantastic. The whole thing with controlling your buddy to solve puzzles works quite well. The game has almost flawless Ultrawide support (love the properly letterboxed cutscenes).

If you like this kind of game, you will not be disappointed. You get 4h of a very enjoyable and at times very intense adventure, and the game is very much worth the money.

In these times where AAA games are constantly disappointing - at least on a technical level and sometimes even gameplay-wise (looking at you, Redfall and Gollum) - this is a refreshing and technically flawless experience that deserves to be bought at full price.

Yeah, it's really good. If you liked Portal, you will enjoy this one. The time mechanic is a cool concept. The puzzles are fun. Presentation and story are great. This game deserves your money.

I thought it was a great game with a surprisingly good story. And quite a bit better than Man of Medan. Already pumped to play House of Ashes next.

The game is in 21:9. But on 21:9 displays it will only generate a 16:9 image, meaning you will see big black bars on all 4 sides. I can only consider this game unplayable for all 21:9 users and therefore cannot recommend it.

I am sure this is just a bug and will be fixed at some point. Until then my review remains a negative one.

Bad performance, horrible stutters and NO ULTRAWIDE SUPPORT. I mean, it actually has support, but the game deliberately hides it with black bars, while retaining the performance loss you get from the extended real estate. Which is just absolutely ridiculous. I am sure this is a fantastic game and I will have a lot of fun with it. But I cannot recommend this horrible port in good conscience.

From Software, get your sh*t together and make this a proper PC game, please.

The game sadly seems to be in a really poor technical state. My biggest disappointment is that it does not support ultrawide resolutions (Automata did!). But that's only the tip of the iceberg. People are reporting that the game logic is tied to the framerate. Unbelievable that developers still do this nowaways. Meaning with a higher framerate the game speeds up. Playing on 144Hz means the game just goes ballistic on about 2.5x speed. I would love to see it myself, but for some strange reason the game caps me at 75fps. And this is not a performance issue. I get the absolute same framerate, whether on 1440p with highest or on 720p with lowest details. And if you can't hold the 60fps, the game slows down. Congratz, you may play the game in slow motion now.

Also, not only does the game not hide the mouse cursor when playing (with a controller!), it also frequently centers it. Meaning after playing just the first few minutes of the game, I had already moved the cursor back to the right edge like 10 times. This is just silly.

I had really hoped they wouldn't dare to release this as such a lackluster PC port after what they did to Automata (which was basically only properly playable with a user fix). I honestly don't understand how a professional studio can think that this is a good result. This makes the full price of 60€ for this "more than a remaster, but not quite a remake" even more audacious than it already was. I'm sure the game itself is fantastic, but it also has to be at least serviceable from a technical standpoint. I can not recommend this game right now. If you're interested, maybe wait for patches, if they'll ever come (which is extremely uncertain, given Automata's history), or a big discount.

Ghostrunner is challenging, but also extremely satisfying. It's like Mirror's Edge on steroids - with a Katana. Both combat and platforming are a lot of fun. You probably will die a lot, just as me. But that is part of the experience. Figure out how to approach a certain section, get better with every attempt and finally enjoy the satisfaction of mastering it.

I have seen some people asking for an HP bar or something similar. Honestly, that would kind of defeat the purpose. Just like in Hotline Miami, the game works because you die in one hit, not despite of it. Getting that perfect run - jumping up the walls, grappling at the right time, destroying the shield source and then eliminating all enemies while perfectly dodging all bullets - doing all that with perfect execution, that's what gives you that strong feeling of satisfaction once you managed to do it.

I will also say that while having died a lot so far, I never felt any of those deaths was not deserved. Whenever I fail, it is absolutely my fault and I know what to do better the next time around. Therefore I didn't experience any frustration so far. Only motivation. It also helps a lot that the game puts you right back into the action without any delay. The flow of the game isn't really interrupted by your death, which fits the overall extremely fast pacing of the game.

The game supports 21:9 flawlessly. It seems to be very well optimized. My GTX 1080 can easily maintain 100fps at 3440*1440 (high to epic settings), which I really can't say about every game anymore nowadays.

I have not finished it yet, but judging by what I have seen so far this is easily an 8.5/10. If you like the idea of a fast hybrid of Mirror's Edge and Hotline Miami with great sound and graphics, this is the game for you.
