I have been collecting rocks for many years now. It all started when I was just a young child, about the age of 12. My younger brother had thrown a rock at my head and it was quite a painful experience. After I had the traumatic experience with rocks, I vowed to never touch one again. However, this all changed when I was at the local playground. I had decided to face my fear of rocks and finally take control of my life again. As I reached to grab one off the ground, immediately I felt a wave of overwhelming joy from the texture of the rock. It was a sensation I had never experienced before. From that day on, I have been collecting ordinary rocks I find off the ground. When people think of rock collections, they may imagine different types of rocks, such as igneous rocks, metamorphic rocks, or sedimentary rocks. However, I don't discriminate. I collect every rock I lay my eyes upon.
