AFE2 feels like a real step up from the first game, and as someone who put plenty of hours into the original, it’s easy to see the improvements the moment the action starts. The gunplay is tighter, the Xenos feel more aggressive and unpredictable, and the class builds give you way more room to experiment than before. Running missions with a full squad has that same frantic charm the first game had, just needs more polished. but I do like the atmosphere. It’s not flawless though. Some performance hiccups pop up, a few missions drag a little, and the story still sits in the background instead of pulling you in. Even with those rough spots, it still lands as a genuinely fun co‑op shooter that keeps the spirit of the original while giving fans more of what made it addictive in the first place. Some feel it could have been a DLC for the original, but it stands on its on merits.
