A beautiful game about freedom and finding ones purpose in life.
With a little sinister backstory about castaways and continuing to live with what you have available.

A not so nice point about the game is that it can feel a bit buggy at times but thats about all the negative things that come to my mind.

Alot of very kind and cool people to meet here. Minus the inevitable furry ERP.

Also playing the guitar makes me so damn happy for no real reason. Instead of learning a real guitar like a sane person why not learn this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ one and save all your songs on a text document with about 45000 written characters in it instead?

Seems like a very sane thing to do.

This is one of those games you really really wish you could experience again for the first time. Be it for the haunting feel of the universe or the somber soundtrack with beautiful and depressing pieces in it.

*Really heavy spoilers below!*

And once you uncover more and more of the story the fact that this universe will cease to be. Not because you did something wrong, not because they did something wrong. It's just the end of this chapter.

But by unknowing collaboration of 3 (okay one of those species kinda did not help, but one brave owl did!) species a new chapter can begin.

Certain parts of the DLC are quite different from the base game, but i would say in a good way. A certain horror aspect that was not that prevalent in the base game. Which is a nice change of pace.

This also addresses a certain plot point that has a pretty big impact on the overall story, and they explained it really really well in my opinion. The ending still makes me tear up to this day! If you enjoyed the base game this is just more peak existential horror!

This game has such a awesome story and feel to it, its really damn unique even among the genre it "claims" to be.

Its also really funny how you can tell that some people that have played the game thought that a certain part of the game is all there is to it, atleast if one is to look at their reviews.

Long live stoat

While the first DLC from Gearbox had a really really rough launch, they did eventually fix it pretty well. And it seems they have learned alot because Alloyed Collective is actually really damn good. Would highly recommend. I hope they continue to deliver like this!

Drones dont suck major ass anymore, which makes me more happy than it should.
Also they turned Providence into a marketable plushie.... how could they?

In terms of a Metroidvania Nine Sols is pretty high up there, easily comparable to Hollow Knight. It has alot of similiar mechanics but still has its own things going for it like the combat where quick reactions to block are basically required.

A couple of things that i also really liked:

-Just the whole Lady Ethereal section in general was sooo good, especially as a psychological horror fan. The whole concept of her fight is straight up amazing.
-How (almost) every boss has a tragic backstory, to the point where you actually feel bad for them.
-Bosses and mini-bosses have a habit of making you their b*tch the first couple of times you fight them, but they still feel fair and beatable. There are like 1 or 2 wonky hitboxes but thats about it.
-F*cking house cats are part of the lore.

I really loved how the world changed through different campaigns and the desolate lonely atmosphere of the world.
Also it was pretty fun how different each slugcat felt to play, be it massacring the entire scavenger population as Artificer or helping creatures find "peace" as Saint.

Doing the entire Five Pebbles region as Rivulet on the other hand could probably be compared to getting kicked in the balls 150 times. I still feel bad for Five Pebbles though.

For some reason they added a roguelike to my sexy men dating sim? Kinda weird.
Also they didnt have to make Artemis that hot and loveable, 100% wife material.

This games atmosphere is pretty phenomenal, and the animal bosses are making me pretty uncomfortable.... in a good way!
Some items you find include a slinky and a bubble wand, for that alone its a 10/10.
Also i got jumpscared by a swordfish which is a first.
