This game was very weird at first and the puzzle mechanics really had me stumped (I don;t often play games like this) but the comedic tone and very involved art-style made the game very fun to play all the way to the very wholesome ending credit scene. Even the secret ending was amazingly well-placed.

This game is a very simple one. A fun experience with very compelling story elements. The characters and art style are incredibly thematic and charming. I recommend this game to people who want to sit back and have a classic side-scroller RPG without all the mess of some of the more modern titles.

Game is awesome.

I just played through it again, got the good ending by the skin of my teeth. I had so much fun! The story is compelling and the drink making was a really entertaining way of breaking the monotony of the text based exposition. This game might be old, but it's fun all the same. Also the sequel is coming out so I'm looking froward to that.

Edit: Labour of Love Nomination goes to this game because it really feels like the devs put heart into this game, despite the turbulent history of the game and the difficulties in making it; they still pushed through and made this gem.

I received this game as part of a friends 4-pack purchase, I really love the way it plays and it's a very fun experience. There's a bit of issues with the multiplayer where the lag is atrocious but it's manageable if everyone has good enough systems. Overall, it's a very solid game for friends, I just wish we could bring more people into the fray!

I love this game. I've been playing it since before the Color of Madness and I can honestly say that the game doesn't get tiring. The DLCs add a new dimension of play to the game and remove the stagnation that normally comes during the late-game. I highly recommend this game for people who love challenge and can deal with damage control and situational mitigation. My only qualm is that the early game can be brutal as hell, especially to players who have no idea where to start; aside from that this game is beautifully made.
