Ok this game gets a lot of flack, primarily for its atrocious launch. Don't get me wrong it was terrible at launch, absolutely a steaming pile of ♥♥♥♥. Now though it's probably the best Total War game to date. Most of the bugs that were present at launch (siege ai, terrible pathfinding, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ capture points) have been patched out. The only remaining problem is the skirmish function, which while it works to an extent, should not be relied on. The best part about Rome II is the unit variety between factions, playing as the Romans, Hellenics, Barbarions and Eastern factions is an entirely different experience each time. The Romans rely on their heavy infantry to save the day. While Hellenic factions rely on pikes to hold the line until their shock cavalry can get a devastating rear charge on the enemy. Overall I would give the game a 9/10 in it's current state.

If you want a game that doesn't take itself too seriously this is the one to play. I maybe played Borderlands 1 for 2 hours before getting bored.....Borderlands 2 removes pretty much every problem I had with the first one. The missions aren't repetitive (for the most part) the amount of loot is awesome and enemies are generally pretty varied. If you want a game to play with friends and get some awesome loot well what the hell are you waiting for?
