This game is like going to a themepark that is as big as a country, has millions of different attractions, food stands, themes and rides, but none of the things you can do there are actually memorable.

I do get why this is positively reviewed, because this theme park is probably very impressive to people who haven't been to many theme parks in their lives.

The game is very unsubtly inspired by a lot of other games, but not one single one of the features and mechanics they have taken inspiration from are improved upon by Crimson Desert.

It uses all the modern graphical tricks and gimmicks, but still ends up being very generic in theme, visual style and atmosphere.

The music in the game is filled with parts that sound just different enough from big blockbuster theme songs to not be sued, but the scores do not stick with you like those do either.

The dialogue between characters is so shallow that it makes it impossible to care about the game's mess of a story.

If exploring a game that feels like a young gamers personal "cool stuff to put in a game" checklist brought to life, check out Crimson Desert.
If you want quality, check out the games whose homework Crimson Desert has sloppily copied:
- the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Dragon's Dogma
- the Witcher 3
- God of War
- Read Dead Redemption 2

People saying this game doesn't deserve a GOTY nomination because it's "just a card game" are wrong and deserve to have every pack they open be filled with F-tier jokers.

Every time I think I've reached the ceiling of what you can do in this game, the game adds a whole new layer of gameplay. Guaranteed hours of fun!

Perfect example of "Easy to learn, difficult to master". Great partygame for friends who just want to laugh and have fun. Also a great game for people who are into competative games and want to better themselves, earn that high rank and even compete in esports.
An almost perfect game, in my opinion.

I loved Rollercoaster Tycoon growing up.
This game not only brings back that feeling I had building awesome themeparks, but adds a MASSIVE amount of more customization and fun to what already was a great game concept.

My ratings

Performance: 9/10.
It runs very smooth on my machine (i5 4690, GTX970, 8GB, game installed on SSD).
The game's loading times are great and it looks very good too. I had the game crash for me on one occasion when I alt-tabbed a bunch of times during startup, though. But you can send a detailed crash report to the devs when it crashes.

Graphics: 8/10
I like the cartoony look, it really fits this game. And the lighting and the textures are beautiful.
It might need some better anti aliasing, since the wooden coasters or trees look a little choppy from a distance.
Also, there are some lighting/shadow glitches sometimes.
All in all, great looking game.

Gameplay: 9/10
The only somewhat negative thing I can mention: the scenery rating system is really easy to exploit. Some scenery items just give much more points and you can just spam those to get it up.
Other than that, playing this game is a LOT of fun.
-The controls works smoothly.
-The amount of customization is staggering, you can really build anything you can imagen if you put in some time
-The custom coaster maker is AMAZING. You can test your rollercoasters and you can see a ton of stats while testing; How much vertical G, how fast, how nausiating, how high, how much airtime... etc etc. Great for building your perfect coaster!
The singleplayer career is really fun too and the learning curve is really well made.

I very rarely think a game is worth it's full price. But I think this game is worth every penny of the pricetag.
