This game is a very, very poor clone of CS:GO. If you check my account, you will see I have a lot of hours in games. Like a lot. CSGO, and another VR game (Onward) I each have over 1000 hours in. Hopefully this will explain to you how dreadfully bad this game is. First, there is very poor netcode. You get killed around corners, through walls, and as far as I can see, cheating is rampant. In the few hours I have played I have met plenty of blatant cheaters, with wallhacks. This may seem like people are just better than me, but no. When you have played probably over 800 hours total on Dust II in csgo, you KNOW when someone is wallhacking. The damage model is horrendous for VR. It kills the immersion when you have to sit there unloading into someones head with your pistol because it does no damage at all. The controls are wonky and unintuitive, and as far as I can see, there is little hope for competetive play as well.

https://vrmasterleague.com/ does competetive gaming with both Pavlov AND Onward. If you look at the leagues, at the time of writing, Onward has a much bigger following, more teams playing, and even Pavlov teams have moved to onward. (see VRATH team...)

In contrast to all of this, onward offers a clean, easy to pickup and well laid out design. The maps are made by the developers, and are not poorly cloned CS;GO maps (not even sure about Pavlovs legality about that, at least for official tournaments).
Onward has a large following, and for a slightly higher price, you will find a game you can have hundreds of hours of fun in, or even thousands. Pavlov is a mess by all accounts, and this type of game would put ME off VR if I didn't already know that there is so much more to VR than this trash.

TL;DR Go buy Onward instead.
