Ingredients:
For the Ćevapi:
500g ground beef
250g ground pork
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon baking soda (optional, helps to make them fluffy)
For serving:
Lepinja (flatbread)
Chopped onions
Ajvar (red pepper-based condiment)
Instructions:
Prepare the Meat Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.
Add the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, and baking soda (if using).
Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. You can use your hands for this, but be gentle to avoid making the mixture too dense.
Shape the Ćevapi:
Take small portions of the meat mixture and shape them into small, finger-sized sausages. Wetting your hands with water can prevent the mixture from sticking to your hands.
Enjoy!
