Pinocchio-borne is not an inaccurate term for this game. I like the blocking mechanics a lot, they require you to learn a new rhythm.

The game constantly bombards you with places to explore and secrets to uncover at a rate that's almost staggering. The guns feel good, the melee feels less good, and there's an amazing amount of replayability. Highly recommend. Much better than the first game.
