Wait, it's not a triple A game?

Everybody and their dog has had that wish in the back of their mind that they could jump into the world of the tiny model they were looking at, or the LEGO set they'd built. This game is an intriguing take on that idea. A Fisherman's Tale makes great use of VR with some amazing features not possible in other games, like handing yourself a giant key, or stealing a life preserver from, well, you .

I wish the story lasted longer. There is about an hour of gameplay, and that's if you're playing it slowly. It doesn't spend enough time exploring the intriguing mechanics the game has, and that leaves the whole game feeling more like a demo. I wasn't satisfied after finishing it because I felt that it could have taken the features so much further.

Overall, the game is a must try 'Demo' of sorts, but I don't recommend spending full price on it. Get it on sale or in a Humble Bundle pack.

This game blew me away. I love VR, and I thought I'd already seen some pretty awesome games, but the pure immersion I got from this game was incredible. The second I put on my headset and headphones, I became Alyx, and I was only zapped back to reality when my Quest's battery ran low.

As if the first run wasn't good enough, I went back through it a second time and I still found things I hadn't seen before, and the immersion was still there, even knowing what would happen next. And seriously, THAT ENDING!

My biggest recommendation before playing this, is that if at all possible, play Half Life 2 all the way through first. You don't have to, but you'll get a lot more out of Alyx as soon as you've played half life 2 first.

Overall, It's easily worth the price. It does seem to be going on sale more and more now though, so if you see it on sale, go for it.

This game is totally worth it. I thought it would just be the same thing over and over (it's not even a jumpscare horror), but BOY WAS I WRONG! I'm still not bored of it after 63 hours of playing, and at lvl 120. My one pointer; avoid watching a ton of gameplay before you play for the first time, so you don't immunize yourself to the first few terrors. ;)

Planetbase is a great game if you think you have what it takes to be patient and strategic. I think this game is incredibly fun, but don't expect fast paced action. You are getting something where you put your whole soul into this game, and if your base dies, you die with it internally. 10/10 would buy again.

This is a really great game for people who like survival games, intense games, zombies, or just games in general.
