Perfect addition to the series, looks fantastic, great humour, challenging ( but not overly so ) puzzels and some friendly familler faces.

I had really high hopes for this game and it started off really great, but...

as I have played the BG series and other games of the ilk and massively enjoyed them for their rich charcters and story I had expected that PE would not dissapoint.

starting the game everything seemd great and that I was in for a good story but not soon after I realised that I either stopped following the story or that it was really thin, or may I just zoned out?

It seemed I could kill swaths of innocent people only to have my rating of how much I was liked go down, there were no guards that would track me down or seemingly no one that would confront me.

the people on my team were cooky but mostly in an annoying way and the only one I enjoyed was Aloth, so when missions came up for my chracters they just felt like dull grinds that nothing new was learned from.

Some of the spell animation is cool, but the combat in general wasnt quite there.

as you can see I played for a fair while and it did feel that around every corner something fun would happen or the story might actualy captivate me, but it never happened.

some fun times were had, but not enough for a positive review and not enough to bother with the DLC

I'm just glad I got it on sale.

Would have liked to have given this a positive review as I'm a long term fan of the series, but I simply can't. If it could be neutral then it might sit there.

it just feels like theres a lot of running around the same place with no real variation, the landscape barely changes( I'm stuck due to the ridiculous subway crash bug which is really annoying and means I can not play a game that not long ago I spent £30 on ) theres Prague, Golem city and Gram which seemed stupidly breif and almost pointless, kill a bunch of people and escape.

It seems a game made back in the 2000 had more variation in landscape.

it feels devoid of humour and aside from a few charcters I couldnt have cared less about them which made a lot of the game just feel like a dull grind.

Micro transactions? Yeah totaly ridicoulous can't say much more than that.

as far as consequences for your actions go it feels like nothing results from them which seems really lack luster and lazy.

Also I ended up with huge ammounts of cash and seemingly nothing to spend it on.

I ended up using a silenced pistol for almost the whole game and had no interest in unlocking the specialist augs as it felt like that would make no diference.

weapons are again dull and even when going against mechs all i needed was my magnum and pistol.

Game looks good and I had no graphical issues or bugs ( aside from one mentioned above which is major )

I wish I could get a refund.

If you wan't to play a good deus ex game play Revision, all the good humour and fun of the first game only it looks better....and theres achivements now.

...but who knows when the game is fixed I'll be able to finish it and my opinion may change slightly.

Oh and just a silly thing and I know they werent in the last game either, but why are there animals around?

It's midnight and I decide to play, about an hour later there's a knock at my door it's a police officer, he tells me that there has been a report of a women screaming and if I've heard anything, I say I've not heard anything knowing that it's likely my screams have been reported to the police, he leaves and I see him knocking on neighbours doors asking them if they have heard anything.

10/10 police will be back.

I personally prefer the original sims as the sims seemed to hurt more back then. But having your sim fall asleep in its own pee, drown in the pool and having your children removed, still fulfills the sadist within.

I became far too attached and sunk into a deep depression.

It was worth it tho.
