The Core Game is Fun. The Matchmaking Horrible. Also since it is half of a Offline Game, people can just mod their account to max everything out. And then use them maxed out Characters to play online. This ruins the entire Game. Worth 25€ in sale to try out. Not worth 40€ especially plus 30€ dlc. Not Worth it sorry.

The Riftbreaker is one of those games that makes you feel like an absolute genius for about thirty minutes before it transforms into a cosmic prank designed by an alien engineer who hates human comprehension. It starts so well. You crash-land, you punch orangeish carbon and iron, you build your first power grid and you think wow this is like Factorio but with muscles. The visuals slap. The explosions sparkle. The base building feels tight and satisfying. Everything about it screams “this game loves you.”

Then the progression shows up. The game stops being your friend and becomes a weird math teacher that only communicates through riddles written in acid. One moment you are happily mining your basic resources, feeling all self-sufficient, and the next moment the game throws Kobalt, Palladium, Hazenite and Uranium at you like “figure it out nerd.” There is zero explanation. The tutorial waves politely and walks into the sea.

Then comes the Bio Scanner. Oh the Bio Scanner. You unlock it after research, and the game makes it feel incredibly important, like it will solve all your problems, like a magic key to the universe. Only problem: you cannot equip it. You cannot manually use it. It does not appear anywhere in your tool slots. Nothing in the UI tells you how to activate it. You watch videos, you read guides, you consult AI, and after hundreds of minutes you still have no idea how to use it. Yet the game expects you to rely on it for progression. It sits there like a beautiful useless statue, glowing with potential and mocking you silently.

You build drills. Then you realize drills are outdated. Now you need bio drones. You finally make those. Then they refuse to work because you accidentally planted them in the wrong biome. The game just sits there watching you suffer while a crystal monster eats your base and your CPU cries for mercy.

It is like the developers took the clear and elegant flow of Factorio and then wrapped it in layers of alien bureaucracy. You can feel that deep beneath the confusion there is an incredible system, but it is buried under tooltips written in ancient tongues. The UI gives you hints that feel like someone describing IKEA instructions over a bad phone connection.

By the end of it, you start questioning your life choices. You stare at your base, your bio drones, your glowing useless scanner, and you whisper to yourself “I am a god of chaos.” You laugh. You cry. You invent a drinking game where every time something breaks you have to scream at the screen. You have created order out of madness and still feel like a complete idiot. This game will ruin your sanity, inflate your ego, and make you question every tutorial you’ve ever trusted. It is a masterpiece of joyful torment.

Verdict: Ten out of ten for style, three out of ten for communication, infinite out of ten for emotional damage, eleven out of ten for teaching you patience you did not want.

Gameplay and Features

The selection screen at the Crystal is superb. You can run a campaign while simultaneously having the option to embark on an Adventure Campaign. This allows you to play DLCs before defeating the end boss, enabling you to explore more and gear up. It's also fantastic for players who are stuck and need to level up or find better gear to progress.

Merchants and Buffs

The new merchant, where you can purchase all 60-minute buff items, is a dream come true for players coming from Remnant 1. These buffs can significantly enhance your gameplay experience, giving you an edge in battles and making challenging encounters more manageable. The availability of these items makes planning and strategizing for tough fights much more enjoyable.

Level Design

The level designs are visually appealing and diverse, with each area offering a unique atmosphere and challenges. However, they can be quite confusing on the first run, as the layouts can be intricate and maze-like. This complexity can be both a blessing and a curse, as it encourages exploration but may also lead to moments of frustration when trying to navigate through the levels.

Mob Spawns and Ring System

Mob spawns are peculiar, as players from the first game are used to mobs staying dead instead of respawning or appearing out of thin air. This change in the mob spawn system can catch veterans off guard, but it also adds an element of unpredictability to the game. The new ring system is a fantastic addition, offering players more customization options for their characters. Rings can provide various benefits, such as increased damage, better defense, or unique abilities, allowing players to tailor their playstyle to their preferences.

Storyline and Boss Fights

The main storyline can become boring rather quickly, as it only takes about 20 hours to complete. While the narrative has its moments, it lacks the depth and complexity that some players may desire. Additionally, 99% of the bosses are far too easy, even on Nightmare difficulty. Most bosses can be defeated without much effort, which can be disappointing for players seeking a challenging experience. However, the last two bosses provide a satisfying challenge and require more strategy and skill to defeat.

Overall Experience

Overall, Remnant 2 features many great changes. The developers truly knew what they were doing and implemented new, fresh elements that make the game worth playing. They managed to retain the core elements that made the first game enjoyable while adding new content that makes it feel fresh. The improved merchant system, diverse level designs, and enhanced customization options with the ring system are all welcome additions.

However, the odd mob spawns and the relatively short and straightforward storyline are areas that could use improvement. Despite these minor drawbacks, Remnant 2 is a solid sequel that offers plenty of content and excitement for both new players and veterans of the series.

I haven't encountered any changes I dislike, except for the peculiar mob spawns. The developers have done an excellent job of keeping the game engaging and introducing new features that enhance the overall experience. I will update this review later as I continue to explore and experience more of what Remnant 2 has to offer.

Review of Lost Ark

Lost Ark is truly a top-tier MMORPG that has captured the hearts of many players. I've been playing this game for a while, and it's incredibly fun, especially when you're leveling up your characters. The combat system is super dynamic and offers a lot of excitement. There are numerous abilities and combos to choose from, which keeps the battles constantly engaging and thrilling.

Gameplay and Exploration

The overall gameplay is excellent. The world is vast and filled with countless quests and activities that keep you captivated. Whether you're exploring new regions, taking on challenging quests, or simply immersing yourself in the game's rich lore, there's always something to do. The variety of activities ensures that players always have something to look forward to.

Endgame Content

Here's where things get a bit dicey. The endgame content, while initially thrilling, can feel like a bit of a grindfest. For those who enjoy a structured routine, the endgame offers plenty of challenges and rewards to keep players motivated. However, the endgame heavily revolves around collecting items, which can become quite monotonous. The repetitive nature of farming for specific materials or items might not appeal to everyone and could be improved to add more variety and excitement.

Dynamic Combat System

The combat system in Lost Ark is one of its strongest aspects. The dynamic and fluid combat mechanics make every fight exhilarating. With a wide array of abilities and combos at your disposal, battles never feel repetitive. The responsiveness of the controls and the visually stunning animations add to the overall enjoyment, making combat a highlight of the game.

Collecting and Crafting

However, there is a slight downside when it comes to collecting items in the endgame. It can sometimes feel a bit monotonous and not as exciting as the rest of the game. The repetitive nature of farming for specific materials or items might not appeal to everyone and could be improved to add more variety and excitement.

Community and Social Interaction

Lost Ark also boasts a strong and vibrant community. The social aspect of the game is well-developed, with numerous opportunities for players to interact, form guilds, and participate in group activities. The camaraderie and sense of belonging within the community add an extra layer of enjoyment to the game.

Final Thoughts

Despite some minor drawbacks, Lost Ark is an experience that every MMORPG fan should try. The combination of character development, captivating combat system, and extensive endgame content makes it a game that shouldn't be missed. The golden days might be behind us, but Lost Ark continues to be a stellar game that I highly recommend. It has left a lasting impression on my gaming journey, and I'm confident it will do the same for others.

Personal Review of Shakes and Fidget

I've been playing Shakes and Fidget since my childhood, long before the game gained widespread attention. It has always been an excellent game for casual play and holds a significant place in my childhood memories. I believe I speak for many others who have experienced this journey alongside me.

Nostalgia and Gameplay

Shakes and Fidget is a simple yet incredibly enjoyable game that everyone should try at least once. The game offers a perfect balance between strategy, humor, and engaging gameplay. Whether you are looking to complete quests, fight in the arena, or join a guild, there is always something to do that keeps you coming back for more.

Community and Social Aspect

One of the most appealing aspects of Shakes and Fidget is the strong sense of community it fosters. Joining a guild and collaborating with other players to achieve common goals is an incredibly rewarding experience. The camaraderie and friendships formed within the game add an extra layer of enjoyment that goes beyond the gameplay itself.

Graphics and Humor

The game's unique cartoon-style graphics and witty humor set it apart from other RPGs. The quirky characters and amusing dialogues add a light-hearted touch that makes the game even more enjoyable. It's a game that doesn't take itself too seriously, which is a refreshing change of pace in the world of gaming.

Updates and Evolution

While the game has evolved over the years, with new features and updates being introduced, it has managed to retain its core essence. Although the golden days may be behind us, and some changes might not resonate with all players, the game's foundation remains strong. The developers have done a commendable job in keeping the game fresh and exciting, while still maintaining the elements that made it beloved in the first place.

Final Thoughts

Despite some of the recent updates not being to everyone's taste, Shakes and Fidget remains a fantastic game that I highly recommend. Its charm and engaging gameplay make it worth experiencing, and it's a fantastic way to pass the time. For those who have been with the game since the beginning, it continues to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane, reminding us of the joy it brought us during our childhood.

In conclusion, Shakes and Fidget is a game that has stood the test of time. It's a testament to its quality and appeal that it still attracts players after all these years. Whether you're a veteran player or a newcomer, there's something in this game for everyone. Give it a try and discover the magic that has captivated so many of us.
