We dive for Democracy!
Democracy prevailed against the Automaton threat.
Democracy prevailed against the Terminid scourge.
Democracy prevailed against the Sony corporation forcing horribly unsecure account mandates on all of SuperEarth.

May we forever, Dive together.

So, Monster Hunter: Ultimate?

TLDR; It's amazing and definitely play it, except if you have people who rely on you because they wont see you possibly ever again.

I've been playing MonsterHunter ever since the very first game was released on the PS2 when I was still grasping the concept of what people are and why i should care. The concept of MonsterHunter was simple and fun; Hunt and Slay or Capture monsters, make armor or weapons out of monsters, Repeat. You might say, "Hey that sounds too repetitive to be entertaining and ill probably get sick of it in 30 mins" and for many people that's exactly what happens, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO TASTE IN LIFE.... i'm only partly kidding. The concept hasn't evolved very much from that basic concept and there's nothing wrong with that because the game's are quite captivating. There have been things added and taken away from the game formula such as new monsters, new weapons, and weapon arts Monster Hunter Generations was a masterpiece of a spinoff and i won't have anyone telling me otherwise .

Although Monster Hunter: Ultimate is by far the biggest leap of advancement and evolution I've ever seen in the series. Okay there's something i haven't told you yet, all the other games (Except the first one and like a couple that were ports but lets just not talk about those please) were on handheld consoles and in turn had terrible aesthetics.

As you can see from the store page ^, It look's beautiful.

But this is a video game, you're here to play the game not watch it right?... well you kinda have to do that sometimes, so at least its pretty. The controls are absolutely the best in the series, from the 'Basic' starting weapon being a sword the length of your character, or 2 tiny toothpick sized daggers, every weapon has been overhauled with better handling, move powerful finisher moves, and greater clarity. While controller is by far the best way to play MonsterHunter, Mouse and Keyboard has recently been tuned to be more coherent and effective so you at least have options Even if its Wrong.

okay, I'm bored of typing this now and i would rather be playing the game than talking about it.

TL:DR if you like to hear a very basic "my parents are dead feel sad for me" story with gameplay akin to scrolling through the Terms and Conditions you'll have a blast.

After playing 90 mins of this and giving it my best shot to like anything these people have made i can without a single shred of doubt in my mind, this is not a game.

This is a mediocre (at best) story of a man telling his girlfriend that his childhood was very basic, him and his dads relationship was like a normal blue collar family's, and that his girlfriends childhood was WAY more interesting but was given no more than 10 mins in the spotlight before given back to him and his dads story.

There is no game, all you do is follow bright lights as a very stiff fox and dig up audio files disguised as "Memories" in a needlessly large area.

///Update 11/10/2021 - Still horrible, still a waste of money. Just wanted to keep people informed :)

An Amazing piece of work, can use some more bug fixes and gadgets but it is more than worth it for what its price is.
