Getting rammed feels just as great as ramming!

If you liked Rollcage back on the PS1, then you'll like this game. Some minor UI & other gripes aside, it's damn good.

I loved playing through this game. I really did.

But I already finished the game after barely reaching the three hours mark, and that's while doing a fair deal of going the wrong way, backpedaling, etc. The "6 hours of gameplay for someone rushing through the game" is simply a blatant lie.

The story was taking a really interesting turn midway through, and it could have been so so much more, but the ending is just a complete letdown... It feels half-finished, rushed. And for such a heavily story-driven game like this is (there's barely anything to do in terms of gameplay, it's almost a point & click), this is just disappointing. The journey is GREAT up until two thirds into the game, but it is TOO SHORT and by the end the story has turned into something fairly unexciting compared to the buildup.
You think the story is headed in a certain direction, but then the focus is taken away from that, favoring instead a subplot you never really cared about.

I understand what they were going for with the way the story is written and ends, but to me, it was not executed in a satisfying way.

If this was the first episode of something more, or if the game was longer/had better replayability, I'd give it a near perfect 9/10. But as it stands, it's a 6/10. 7/10 if I'm being really generous; and I'm basically torn between "Wow, that was great!" and "Wow, that was really disappointing..."

Pros:
+ Voice acting is top notch
+ The plot really sucks you in, especially about midway through
+ The environment is beautiful

Cons:
- Fairly/very short
- The ending is disappointing; like a big twist that was supposed to come, just never comes.
- Your choices ultimately don't matter - the story is on rails and there's one single ending.
- Little to no replayability due to the above.
