Absolutely loved this game, it nails the sensation of stepping into your favorite mystery novel in a way that it feels difficult to articulate. Personally it achieved the echelon of a game that you buy just to give copies to your friends so you can talk about it, and further support the developers.

The game features a compelling setting, a cast of quirky and expertly portrayed characters, and a engaging mystery all bundled together. If you love a good mystery suffused with witty banter that skirts the lines of logic and the occult, I'd implore you to give The Mermaid Mask a try.

Management sim with a nice challenging early game and some fun scenarios. It does however lack a bit of UI polish, though this does not inhibit gameplay.

An interesting approach to the Dialouge/Decision genre of gameplay by adding a time mechanic. The real strength here is the game's soundtrack and musical direction which really stand out when compared to others of the genre. I also found the story to be fairly compelling if not a a little chesey and cringey at times (this may be intentional as who had young teen years that couldn't be described as such). Overall the story feels authentic to the setting and time period while posing some interesting ethical quandries to the player. 8/10.

Truly outstanding environments with a demented twist. Engaging combat and old school platforming combine to make this one hell of a game. In addition, you get a storyline that blurs the lines between madness and reality. I couldn't recommend this game highly enough.

While the game may feel more like an extension of Tropico 3 at times, it skillfully adds new buildings and powers to be used by the player. Alongside the new character art, menu designs, foreign powers, and natural disasters, the game brings an entirely new experience to the game. Fans of the genre would find this to be an excellent addition to their libraries.
