BRIGADOR is an isometric action game featuring your choice of towering mechs, tread-borne vehicles and anti-grav craft.
In it, you play AS john brigador, bringing peace and prosperity to novo solo by murdering everyone and everything that looks at you funny.
Jokes aside, BRIGADOR is a good game to pick up and putter around in. The campaign is a little bare-bones, but that's only because the real meat of the game is in the operations menu, where you can purchase rights to run certain sets of missions that give you more money to buy more stuff to get more money. Pilot selection does more than change the face on the top left - each pilot has different modifiers to difficulty (and payout) that are both immediate and long-term, and choosing a pilot that you can handle is just as important as choosing what weapons to bring. However, higher difficulties bring bigger rewards, which can be spent on all sorts of things. Between new pilots, weapons, chassis and the mass of lore you can requisition you'll have plenty to spend your dollars on - assuming you manage to get off the planet in one piece.

EDF 4.1 is a wonderful game about killing bugs to save the earth and flattening the city along the way. The game is pure distilled action as each stage is just you, the bugs and maybe a few NPC distractions. While there IS a story, it's nothing to really write home about and in the end it's all just set dressing for the game's action. With four different classes each with their own selection of weapons (and seperate completion percentage), there's a LOT of content if you really sink your teeth into this game. The game itself has a feel of camaraderie that I think is sorely missing in games, even the NPC chatter makes them feel like they're people fighting beside you - even if the dialouge is disjointed at times. The whole package is just unapolagetically upbeat in the face of despair and I love it.

Good 'ol co-op game in everyone's favorite engine, Goldsource. Now you can play even if you don't own half-life.

Early Access Review
Two content updates in and TWI is already implementing a microtransaction system for cosmetic and gameplay-altering items down the line. They are extremely behind schedule for the full release and they are already diverting manpower to milking our cash. This is not what we were promised when the game was first released to early access, and chances are it won't leave early access until 2017.

In short: Stay far away.
