There are two kinds of players this game is for: People who want Battlerite but PvE, and people who want top-down Rust-like PvP with hero arena mechanics and no roleplay. There is even more barrier to entry: If you want PvE you'll probably want to set up your own dedicated server that runs 24/7, otherwise your loot hunt will be a slog.

This game has improved over it's earlier releases and seems much more flushed out, BUT I think it's at the end of it's rope right now. There isn't much you can add to this equation at this point unless they simply make a Battlerite arena mode. Which at that rate, WHY ABANDON BATTLERITE?! There's something to be said about a developer that 'values' their earlier franchises while actively burying them in a trash can.

I think this is this V-Rising's final form right now. If you follow Stunlock's history, the next step for this game is the trash can; for absolutely no good reason. They raised the price to $35 just to soak whatever else they can before that happens. I would love for Stunlock to prove me wrong here, but I ain't holding my breath.

Paradox bad

Good: Funniest slapstick moments producible by a video game. Single player is banger and vehicle controls are the most accessible fun I've seen from any video game.

Bad: Multiplayer ruined by modders; Impossible to find a session without them. Thought a low level race with 20's-60's would be safe, nope they just keep setting my speed to 0. I can't fault Rockstar, they seem to at least be trying to sauce up their spaghetti code; it's just that these children have no life and their dopamine receptors are fried from watching furry porn they don't know how to enjoy anything without kinky taboos.

Great: Shooting, movement, enemy variety, weapon variety, world variety, between game progression, fulfilling secrets.. BANGER OST from Noisecream.
Roboquest is so dialed-in I can't even complain about it being 2 player max.

This is a $5 social fad that is priced double what it's actually worth. Just ignore this and let it die.

This gatcha is just another marketing ploy for the NEW FFVII universe that lets squenix bury the 1997 version as deep as it can go, with absolutely zero fan service for it. On top of that; there's no QoL features that other gatcha games have. Collecting, learning and leveling weapons is not fun. Materia crafting is dumb, it doesn't feel like canonical materia at all. WotV is a better Final Fantasy gatcha in every way.

XMAS IS CANCELED. Yearly tradition ruined. No more Tripwire for me.

Good game, bad grind. There are whales in every ranking, even the lowest starting arena. You'll need to grind (lose) for about 200hrs before you can compete on a somewhat level playing field.
