The game is fun, the Discord community is helpful, and overall its a good purchase if you like survival games.

As far as critique, I would say, the game is a real grind. There are strategies to streamlining the grind, and the updates during the year+ break I took from it made part of the grind worse, but there were a lot of other nice touches that came with those updates, so it balances out.

If you want an easier survival feeling, go play Ark SE/SA, or Conan Exiles. If you want something more challenging with friends, play this. If you want a solo challenge, go play Long Dark. Each of these games scratches a different itch, so I say if you like survival games, buy all 4.

Considering this was all made by a single developer (as far as I was last aware), I would say its very impressive and worth it to buy it and support indy devs that want to try to tackle big genres. Overall, I supported it and I am glad I did. If you want to make the game easier, just turn hunters off. Outside of that, just have fun and try to stay warm ;)

Love the game, its a lot of fun, despite any bugs you may encounter. To be fair, since I never play official, one can never be entirely sure if the bugs are from Wildcard, or from the Mods. Either way, have fully enjoyed both Survival Evolved, and now Survival Ascended.

What I DID NOT like, and maybe this is more of blame on Steam/Valve.... is that when I went to look for the price on sale, to tell my friend, cause he doesn't have Ascended yet, it shows as 33% off for me... 234.50 HKD... for him, it shows 46% off at 187.60 HKD. We are both on HKG accounts, so it isn't a regional issue. This is merely Steam fluctuating pricing for different users. I encourage you all to post what pricing you see the game for below, to see if anyone is seeing something different. Especially if you are on a HKG account.

This is a huge bait and switch feeling setup. First of all, the languages are region locked, it doesnt tell you this ANYWHERE. I bought this game in English, on an English account, in a region that speaks English, and the game was locked to a different nearby region in a different language and could not be adjusted through the settings.

Not only that, when you try to get support, they continually ask you to authenticate with the tokens, etc, but then they tell you that you didnt really log in. Given the rest of the way they run things, I would not be surprised if they are stealing your login details.

Ultimately, avoid like the plague. Horrible support, horrible region locked languages. etc....

Note - it says it supports 10 languages, but that seems to be a load of BS

I honestly avoided the Sniper Elite series for years, precisely because the x-ray kill shots seemed so over-sold that I figured the game most likely had no substance and was going to be a one-trick pony. Then a friend implored me to get a copy so I could join them. Checking my Humble Bundle account, turns out I actually have all 4 versions, so I decided to install it and give it a go. HOLY CRAP, this game is funnnnnnn I have so far played 7 hours (2 sessions across a 24 hour block) of the solo survival wave, Let me clarify... 7 hours of the exact same map same difficulty level. I have not even scratched the surface, but I keep wanting to play it over and over. So the game is not just about sniping, the secondary assault weapons, the pistols, and the explosives are just as fun. Seriously, I am a bit annoyed with myself for not playing this sooner! My advice, is to get this and try it out. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I am!

I love the artwork, the character customization was fun, but there was no one playing, in any server, anywhere in the world. Was very disappointing to see that I couldn't even play against bots. Can the devs add bots?
