Meh. I'd Reccomend is, but only if it ever goes on sale. theres not a whole lot to like.

Let me just start with the fact that the XCOM Series (Being Xcom:EU and this) are my only two games with over 100 hours. that says quite a lot on it's own.
Beyond that, I would recomend this game to anyone who loves their strategy games. I would reccomend it even more if you like rougelikes or permadeath. things of those sorts because XCOM is that to the extreme. Its use stategy or die in this game, no charging headfirst into a crowd of enemies like a superhero because that is a fantastic way to get shot dead, unless of course your unbeliveably lucky.

The percentage system makes you weigh your chances, the way it handles HP makes you make tactical decisions to try to save your troops. and if all else fails use the highest health soldier to run the gunfire so everyone doesn't die.

There is always risk, no matter what you do in this game. and I don't think i'd have it any other way.

Because in the end... when you get utterly sniped for a 1% to hit crit for max damage on your best soldier...
And that crit just happens to be EXACTLY how much Health they have left...
And they decide to just die immediatly...
And then your whole squad starts panicing.

When that happens... Well...


That's Xcom, baby.

Ill be completly honest. I genuinly miss this game. I played far to much while it was a free game and it introduced me to this fantastic franchise.

So much fun is contained in the music, but so much anger is in the maps

This Game.

Oh my god.
I'll be honest, i'd achually reccomend this one over the second one, expecially if you get long war, but even if you dont't. this game is one of, if not the best, squad turn based strategy game.

I've not played a bunch, but I can Already tell that im going to be playing this often. Good Game
