I really enjoyed the game! It's by no means a masterpiece but there's a lot of good in it that overweighs the mediocre segments.

The art direction and visuals (incl. character designs) are amazing! It's a combination of gothic and sci-fi themes, which reminded me of games like Destiny 2, Nier and Bioshock. I found the story and lore, if you ever decide to read all of the entry logs, very interesting. It answered most of the questions I had, and left the rest to personal interpretation and a mystery. For a 3D bullet hell game, the gameplay felt odly fitting as a vessel for the story.

My biggest gripes are with the combat, and especially difficulty, both of which felt a bit lacklustre until you unlock most of the mechanics. I played on Warden difficulty, which is supposedly the "indended experience" by the developers. It felt too easy for two thirds of the game. The final fights did feel great though and that made it more enjoyable in the end. Perhaps I would've had more fun if I had chosen the last difficulty. For a game with auto-lock, I thought it would've been better if there was heavier focus on enemy attacks that required precise player positioning, which was only really the case for the boss fights.

The other thing that felt meh at times was the dialogue writing for the main character. It felt undercooked in comparison to the other characters you meet on your journey, which I guess in a weird way made them shine more.

Movement feels a bit floaty but the gameplay is very fun, and the visuals are awesome. The story seems intriguing.

Gorgeous adventure game with an endearing story and decent combat. Surprisingly difficult at times!
Given that this was the studio's first game, I cannot wait to see how they improve on it with their sequel.

Peak

A must play indie game for anyone who is interested in roguelikes. What this game does that differs from the crowd of games within the same genre is the amazing narrative that combines perfectly with the game's great visuals and music.
