Review from 2025:

I always come back to this game because of nostalgia and it always goes the same. Spawn, don't find ♥♥♥♥, die of hunger. Spawn, try to survive by hunting / fishing, die of hypothermia because you can't find ♥♥♥♥. When you got all of that figured out, you die from the zombies.

Two things really piss me off:

-There is no loot on official servers
-Zombies always sprint, which makes it an absolute pain to enjoy anything while being a freshie

I've ended up setting up a local server for myself, modded it so the zombies only walk, so I can enjoy the core gameplay a little bit. I mean even with all the loot for myself I still spend time searching for specific stuff I need BUT for the first time ever, I have a car and a tiny base I can call home.

The best thing any new player can do is to just join a private server, at least you don't have to share the loot with 50 other servers -.-
