Gameplay, it is an incredibly difficult game to play. However no matter how good or bad you are you are always able to have fun on this game. Theres plenty of different game modes like rumble or basketball (hoops) and its a simple idea that provides hours upon hours of fun. It is a game of skill though, you cant just learn everything in a day, different skills will require hard work and a lot of practice to perform like air dribbling which means (you guessed it) to dribble or carry the ball through the air with your car. Theres a lot of cars to try out each having their own benefit to use with different turning circles, hitboxes etc... Theres an absolute tonne of stuff that goes into the mechanical side to the game which is your skillset but theres also the mentality that you need. In order to gain ranks and improve skill in team based gamemodes like 2v2s you need to learn rotation and when to attack and when not to attack. It is a really simple idea but with a very complex learning curve. I mean im about 800hrs in (with ps4 hours roughly included) and im only diamond rank 1 which is barely *good*. Each gamemode also has a different style of play like in solo you will typically be more passive but the more team mates you play with the more creative and assertive you can be. The gameplay I rate a 9/10. The only reason it isn't a 10/10 is because if you play solo the game can become very repetitive and boring for those who aren't competitive and the somewhat bad matchmaking system.

Next is the cosmetic side to the game. This wasn't too great at the start of the game as there wasn't too many customisable options however with the new season just starting it has opened up a world of oppertunity to look majestic while putting opponents to shame. You can change colors. decals, wheels, toppers, antennas, goal explosions, the wheel track your car has when it reaches *supersonic*. Everything has become customisable and im sure Psyonix is working on more stuff as we speak. Not as complex as the gameplay and no color sliders or anything but it is a decent customisation system they have made and will rate it an 8/10

Finally my last topic is the community. The community like most games are terrible at the lower ranks, you miss an easy ball you get spammed with "what a save!" constantly. However psyonix has listened to our complaints about this kind of behaviour in more extreme cases like swearing and just complete sh*t talk. Luckily enough many players are against the toxicity as you move towards the higher ranks so it gets better the more you do. However its usually not until you reach Platinum rank that the toxicity really takes a nose dive in consistency. For these reasons im giving the community a 7/10 because there are a lot of people willing to help others prosper in the game its just a small amount overall that are toxic.

My overall rating is an 8/10 for this game. I have put a lot of hours into the game and have had a great experience and have even met some of my best friends on here. A great game to play overall with tonnes of fun. I wont go into trading because im pretty sure thats similar to most other games. Hope you found this helpful!

Great game. Theres a tonne of heroes to choose from and each play differently. It never gets boring and you will play for months. Join your friends and annihilate the game with them with epic battles, tactics, powers and items. Just when you think you'll run out of stuff to do you wont be disappointed to know theres something else... Trust me, there always is. Definately recommended to get this game. 10/10
