Fun, but I wish the connection ping issues could be fixed. Get around 120 ping on NA servers when I'm not even having a local side lag spike

At the moment the game isn't playable, will crash without fail at the first actual battle in the game and the controls really aren't in very good positions at this point (Game has abilities 1,2,3 set all the way over on keys J,K,L for some reason when the number buttons aren't being used what-so-ever.

Seems like a fun game if they can fix the issues soon but right now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Personally I would say this game is a great game, however, I feel there are a few details to know before buying this game. This game was made quite a good number of years ago and therefore the graphics are also a bit outdated so if that is something you can't get over I would not suggest buying this game. Also this game does have a bit steep of a learning curve but once you learn how to play it is definetly worth it.

Now as to why I think this game is so good:
Well first of all there is no story line which some would see as a bad idea but the way Warband uses it, it actually works. It allows for almost any possible course of action to achieve your own personal goals wether it be becoming rich, becoming King, or even marrying a noble lady.
Secondly, the modding community is huge which is constantly adding mods that can increase your experience in the game or even add even more to said experience such as a mod called the Freelance mod which makes it so you are now able to play as a regular soldier in a Lords army.
Thirdly, the multiplayer can have up to 200 players! How many "next generation" games do you hear of being able to have 200 players fighting eachother the the death in brutal and bloody combat.
Fourthly, there is a DLC for this game which I have taken a particular interest in. This mod is the Napoleonic Wars DLC which allows you to play in multiplayer games as a soldier from the time period of Napoleon conquering Europe. This DLC while not having single player (although there is a mod that is coming out eventually that will have singleplayer) seems to draw you in with its organized communities. While the initial prospect of running around in a line and having to listen to orders may seem daunting especially considering that there is generally no space between each person in a line, I assure you it is actually a lot more fun then it sounds. Imagine being able to play as a artillery unit that is able to shoot at unit such as that or playing as cavalry and gloriously charging your enemy and cutting down any that get in your way. Or getting a reputation as a deadly sniper as a part of a skirmisher or line infantry regiment. With 200 players able to play in one server at once all these units can all be in the same server working together. So imagine marching towards enemy positions with artillery flying overhead and the cavalry charging past you while the skirmishers snipe important enemy personel.
