This is such a chill game. Its basically 2 games in one. One game is the hunting and exploring gameplay. The other is the Restaurant management, farming and cooking gameplay.
Simple gameplay with a good story, brought me a lot of joy for a while. Helped me relax a lot and change my mindset after wasting my time in online competitive games.

This game saved and ruined my life at the same time. This game was like a drug to me. When i had nothing going on in life, it gave me joy and motivation to get through the day and try new things in life. On the other hand when i tried to get something done in life it held me back from doing things that needed to be done. It has truly been one of the best and the worst things i've done in my life. I can say with certainity that this game changed my life.

TL;DR - If you dont have a life, just play it. If you have a life, dont bother installing.

The visuals are great, the puzzles are fun and the story and voice acting is done well.
Still i cant recommend it at full price as it is too short (about 2hrs) and there is no replayablity.
Buy it on sale, its alright.

I started this game despite not liking anything about it only because of great reviews. But now i love hopping on it with my friends trying out different classes, drinking beer, petting Steve and getting rich. I have not played a single solo mission. The community is great, the gameplay is fun, the price is fair. Highly recommend this game.

Let me start by saying that i have been looking for a oldschool Pokemon like game for years. I've gone through many browser pokemon games and actual published games over the years and this is probably the most polished unique monster taming game in the market.


Gameplay:
This game has nice familiar mechanics but with much more streamlined and smooth game play. One such example would be HM/module function which is no longer intrusive to your skill builds or having an HM slave. The type system is quite basic and easy to grasp with comparably small number of coromons (114) which is a small quib of mine. Hoping the roster is expanded with more versatility. Overall well designed mechanics.

Story and Progression:
The story is good with a light hearted tone as it doesn't take itself too seriously. The world opens up as the story progresses which allows players to play though level appropriate areas without stumbling onto overlevelled opponents. There are enough surprises and secrets that may trip you up every now and then. We go through a lot of terrains with their own unique traversing puzzles. The puzzles in the overworld provide a good challenge with normal-medium difficulty in general. The game doesn't have an underwater section which will hopefully be added in the future.

Visual:
The overworld has good pixel art that suit the terrain and style of the different areas. The coromon sprites are well designed for most part and very few are in the lazy/bad design catagory. Battle backgrounds are nicely designed for different areas. Everything is great for most part, although some skill animations could use an upgrade.

Audio:
The music is soothing and fresh while having that nostalgic vibe at the same time. Skill sounds are crisp and suit them very well. Not much to say, its great.

Final Verdict:
Fun and well thought out gameplay with many quality of life improvements over other games. Great visuals and audio with good character designs. Nostalgic and fun for older players of this genre and fun and innovative for the young audience. I am a casual player for most part and had quite a lot of fun in my 30+ hours of gameplay and considering that content updates are expected in the future i will say its well worth the money.

I played this game for quite a few hours but now i want my time back. Only reason i even tried it was because of the awesome music in the trailer.

Problems:
-Pay2win
-Garbage players who have never played basketball and think its a solo game.
-Server problems
-The UI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to be honest.
