Bit of a sleeper hit for this year, that more people should give a chance.
Closer to Vampyr than the LiS, with more focus on action, versus the walk and talk gameplay of the latter.

Has an interesting world, lore and characters as fans of DontNod have come to expect.

Although the Lucius games have never been known for their high degree of polish, the third entry is definitely a backwards step for the franchise.

No freedom in terms of kills, like you had in the second game. Janky textures and animations in a much more cutscene heavy entry. Inventory/items are dumbed down, and powers are only allowed in specific instances, as the story dictates.

I can't really recommend this one. Go for Lucius 2 instead.

Super fun little platformer.
Unique 2D art-style, fast-paced gameplay, and doesn't overstay its welcome.
Highly recommended.

Perhaps I'm spoilt by modern gaming, but I honestly do not see how this game garnered positive reviews. Perhaps it's the age, perhaps it's the platform, since this is an Xbox port, but I can't recommend this title to a modern audience.

The graphics aged terribly and the port has a lot of bugs and issues, like framerates getting stuck below 30fps, missing audio, etc. All can be fixed by an externally downloadable patch, which you can find by Googling it, but, retroactively, I'd say it is more trouble than the title is actually worth.

Horror elements fall flat, feeling more like a generic action with reused enemy models and some gore to evoke horror, but with newer titles having given audience some truly horrifying visuals, this is just tame in comparison. The story is also pretty threadbare and the protagonist just feels like a goon plodding forward.

Most of the gameplay, which is sparse considering I finished it in 6 hours, was filled with walking from one point to another, since the sprint gauge empties in about 5 seconds, to get an axe, shovel, etc. in order to open door A or B or C. This is interlaced with frustratingly clunky melee combat, with the enemies sometimes sporting a gun so they can shoot you before you can hit them with the aforementioned shovel or another.

This is definitely a title best left in the nostalgia books.

Loved it.

From the art style to the characters and overarching story. Can't wait to see more chapters and other projects from this team.
Biggest con I can probably mention is some hiccups in the spelling & grammar of some of the English text, but nothing that I would consider game breaking or unfixable by a quick patch.

This is definitely not action oriented, but instead narrative and puzzle focused, so keep that in mind.

A definite must play for anyone interested platformers.

The action is great, the art style and pixel graphics on point.

Can't recommend it enough.

Eldritch Horror meets Metroidvania, this game is a must play for any platformer lovers.
Fluid animations and hand drawn visuals might be what initially pulls you in, but the massive upgrade tree, secrets areas, challenging enemy and boss encounters are what keep you playing.

Can't recommend this game enough.
