Dopamine simulator

It's basically Sairento with a new coat of paint, new ways to kill, and in rougelite form. I definitely see the inspiration from Blade and Sorcery and Until You Fall as well. Melee combat feels a bit waggly still but in a game this fast paced it's excusable. Some enemies feel unfair to fight against but that's probably just because I haven't gotten gud yet.
Fun gameplay, good gore, unique powers. Worth the wait.

Has completely replaced Pavlov for me due to the impressive modding scene.
It's a bit janky but if you have ever wanted to play SW Battlefront or TF2 in VR, you should get this.

This is everything a spiritual successor should be. At a glance you know exactly what it's paying homage to, but the gameplay and artstyle shake things up enough for it to stand on its own. The black and white noir aesthetic fits perfectly for this kind of game and the booze perks give you a lot of new ways to approach familiar obstacles. This is awesome!

EDIT: Beat the game. After playing for much longer I can go deeper into my thoughts on it. The main problem with this game is how much it forces you to rely on the Focus (bullet time) mechanic. Some choke points and overcrowded rooms can result in a huge chunk of unavoidable damage if your Focus runs out. Even if your reaction time is perfect, you'll get shot several times if there's more than two enemies. The invisible guys that show up during the Vast Library aren't too fun to fight against either, the black and white artstyle makes them blend into the background and will get some cheap damage in if you don't slow down to scan a room before engaging. The Goldeneye liquor helps with this a little bit, but it's still annoying. I still definitely recommend this game to anyone who loved Hotline Miami and wants more of that style of gameplay, but it's not perfect and at times you will experience some cheap deaths.

Beat it in one sitting, a game hasn't hooked me this hard since Hotline Miami.
