Hi, I am Brom, a citizen of the universe conducting unsupervised research inside video games.

I examine old stories through modern pixels, poor decisions, and sustained digital violence.

My methodology relies on satire, milk, and actively making the wrong decisions when it comes to romantic options in RPGs.

If you understand satire, you will likely enjoy what is on offer.
If you do not, I recommend revisiting foundational literature.

Empirical results place me slightly below average.

Thank you, I have no further questions at this time.

Dear Esther-Landmark Edition:

I bought Dear Esther years ago at the start of my doomed YouTube career because I genuinely believed people on the internet wanted thoughtful content with proper chapter structures and meaningful discussion.

How adorable, right?

Turns out YouTube doesn’t reward effort. It rewards titles like:
“THIS GAME CHANGED MY LIFE???”
followed by a thumbnail of some guy making a face like he just discovered electricity.

Meanwhile I’m sitting there carefully organizing chapters like:
“Symbolism”
“Narrative Themes”
“Emotional Interpretation”

The algorithm looked at my hard work, spat in my mouth, and buried the video under twelve reaction channels fake screaming at Five Nights at Freddy’s playthroughs.

Modern content creators now upload absolute clickbait sewage with titles like:
“GAME DEVS DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS SECRET”
and somehow pull six million views while sounding like a man being held hostage by GFuel.

But anyway….Dear Esther.

This game is essentially: Walking. Feelings. Fog. Sad British narration. More walking. Occasional birds.

That’s it.

I recommend it specifically to people who like listening to a kettle boil during a messy divorce.
