Worth it for the soundtrack alone.

Greatest DLC of all time for the greatest game of all time- infinite replay value and creative potential.

It is fun and charming, but unfortunately many of the lines get repetitive, and Alex Jones is weirdly low energy compared to his sincere rants that he is known for.

Its too expensive for what it provides, and what it does is pretty niche, but if you're into the sci-fi roleplaying actions with more primitive races its fun.

A really great selection of games for a cheap price

A great game, and one of the best Far Cry's. The last in the series before they delved into weird RPG mechanics that no one asked for. Maybe not every Far Cry fan's favorite story and villains, but I found them to be quite compelling.

Surprisingly fun, though the game has low replay value due to much of the fun being from the feeling of venturing into the unknown and discovering the mechanics of the game. The progression from a scared and confused ape to a confident and voracious killer of beasts is very satisfying, but once you've really figured out how the game works then much of the challenge is gone. This might have been alleviated if the game worked through dynamic systems, such as in combat, but nearly every interaction with objects and other animals comes through quick-time events. You could have some fun speedrunning evolution after learning the game, but you probably won't be recreating the feel of being a diminutive prey animal from your first time playing.

Also be aware that some of the core mechanics of progression like mating your apes is kind of clunky and inconvenient. Luckily, the devs updated the game to make it so this becomes more streamlined as you progress through the game, but it felt like it took way too long to unlock the auto-pairing features which should have atleast been early game unlocks. Much of the game starts to feel grindy towards the end, depending on your luck with filling out the evolutionary skill tree.

The game has an excellent ambience, with a great soundtrack and a variety of different environments. At times it can even feel quite relaxing, despite the constant threat of sabertooth attacks.

Even if the game is far from perfect, I had a lot of fun with it. Its definitely one of the most unique games I've ever played, and I would definitely recommend anyone interested in evolution, prehistory, or survival games to check it out.

Worth it just for the hyper-relays...
