Holds up better than you would think for a game from 20 years ago, Alot of what made COD so great is actually mostly still here even all this time ago. However some things to note is the game is pretty short and very much a direct A to B formula in every way possible.

Mission starts with some cut-scenes at firs but quickly drop it for brief paragraph context notes in the loading screen and ends when you have followed your path through the level and laugh all you want at me not being able to use a computer when this came out but don't expect things like sprint, dive or slide to prone, or even a way to rebind keys to your mouse buttons. Along side that other than MP you get the campaign missions and thats pretty much it. Bit steep for £15 given its age but Im not really complaining.

Overall though its great time and fun to see how much the series has changed, for better or worse.

This can best be described as "Guy in the chair" the video game, and it does a really good job at it.

The dialogue for the most part rocked and while I do wish we got something like a chase or more interactions directly with the killer I do appreciate the mostly air tight pace of Puzzle> antics with friends > unlocking more of station to explore and repeat. I only wish the gameplay loop was a bit tighter as there are times like when turning the power back on or just the whole storage area in general that had alot of spooky vibes but no payoff other than more dialogue, good dialogue but just more of it and not much else.

Solid 7-8, really recommend this one.

Short if you take your time and like less than 2 hours if you are above decent at platforming, For sure worth the asking price and has enough charm for the sort of rushed feel of the story. Also really pretty and has a nice vibe to it :)

I love that we have been given this included with the game! The art style was a huge part of what made this game special to me, but the quality of the pages seems to be on the low side (Almost sub 720p from what I can tell).

Are you able to update this to a higher quality scan? Its a bit hard to appreciate the artwork as one zoom and the quality is out the window :(

TLDR

Its a kick back co op game its not trying to sweat you and your friend out with a million things to manage and mountains to climb, its straight forward but loaded with charm that anyone looking for a great friend game will love to play through, buy it.

In terms of Co op games I would say this is a perfect game for me and my co op friend. Only really beaten out by it takes two which is also by the same devs.

On thing i will say the choices in this game don't really relate to the story's conclusion just how the mission you embark on plays out. Both approaches always feel very well thought out and designed for the character the straight man or the loose cannon. I say this cause people are knocking the game down for it and I feel its really unfair as they are clearly meant for mission variety and not plot branching.

I loved the story its a great 80s action movie with some really fun characters and interactions. the smaller interactions really fleshed out the characters, even down to how they handle situations in things like chases and story choices to drinking from a water cooler.

The Mechanics were really fun, hard? Not really and some stuff isn't the newest either but I really don't care. I feel like people complaining really didn't have a good partner to bounce off of because the game was so much fun for two people to just kick back and play. This is a case where The fun factor far outweighs the game to be excessively deep in game play. Dont get it twisted I like a challenge but only because challenging games can lead to fun experiences. If the games fun without it who cares if it there or not?

The whole experience from the atmosphere to the choices and characters fill the space really well and If you spend the time to really look around you will be surprised at how many things re occur and predict some mechanics later on.

Also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the amount of variety in this game, there's a part where an entire Island is modelled out for One shot from a plane this whole game just has "We love what we make" all over It. even including some great references and not just the "press E for quote" type really upfront and clear love letter homages to movies they loved from boss fights to chase scenes.

Finally a game that lets you and your friend end the betrayal on your own terms. Chaining it to a cut scene would have killed any sense of weight to the twist and im happy its given the right treatment in this game. people who think it ruins the choices along the way huffed something funny cause we make legitimately zero plot heavy choices throughout the game.The only real choice in this game is who comes out on top when its open season and that Is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. The ending felt great and fighting my friend to the death was amazing 10/10

Easy to run fun zombie game. Reminds me of when I first played cod zombies
