I cannot lie, upon acquiring this game I expected something "over-hyped" . But I never been happy about being wrong. People behind this game did truly create something magnificent. First of all, writing, amazing plot and lore writing. It is not your regular "Big McGuffin Chase", "Generic Revenge Plot" or "One True Chosen" tropes. Play for yourself to find out. Artist outdid themselves designing the world, from small settlement to large metropolis and small woods to large ruins, creating small worlds that are interacting between themselves. Music is also masterfully tailored for each zone and stage of the story. Voice acting is great, Ashly Burch and the rest of the team are providing real lives for characters. And many many other departments did put their best into this masterpiece. Whoever may read this review I do hope it will help you and you can enjoy the world of Horizon Zero Dawn as I did.

The game left me speechless... and crying. Magnificent art style, stunning level design and fantastic music.

There many fan fictions around the internet describing adventures in Aperture Labs facility before or after Portal 2 plot. Many had good plots or were just a series of a good test chamber. BUT. This mod, unfortunately the creators called it mod, but when you play it there is almost no difference between portal standalone game. While playing it you can enjoy really good written story, which takes place in beautifully designed environment with outstanding models. You can explore early days of Aperture Innovators (before GLaDOS murdered everyone). I also want to point out the music, Harry101UK did amazing job composing soundtracks for a this mod, it allows player to feel better plot, making it as well close to Portal 2 soundtracks. I am sorry that I can't point out all the great people that took the great effort of creating this masterpiece. But still in my opinion this mod would be the best prequel for Portal 2. WARNING: if people will try to quickly go through game, my answer to them is- nope. Your old Portal tricks won't work in many chambers, so be inventive and search new solutions) And the last thing I want to say is that I really don' t know why it's free, but this mod is really worth your attention and time for playing that. My grade is 11/10.
