I found this game extremely enjoyable, from the outstanding music, the simplistic but skillful battle systems, and all of the main characters of the game. The ending was also very satisfying after such a long game. Can highly recommend if you enjoy turn-based strategy RPG's.

Great Rogue-lite, highly recommended

A great improvement on the original game, with entertaining bosses and beautiful level design. Still quite difficult, but very fun. Do wish there was more item variety, especially in the early game.

TL;DR: Nice and simple 2D rogue-like game, bit rough around the edges, but definitely a good time if you like Dark Souls or similiar.
Long version: God, this game is good! The combat is, while challenging, also very rewarding, and all the bosses, particuarly late-game ones, are a joy to fight. Even when i died, i still felt i got better, and I always got the feeling of "Well, i failed once, but maybe in my next run i'll find a new weapon, fight a new stunning boss, and unlock something new in the necronomicon".

With that said, there are some criticisms i have with the game: the writing is not that great, the jumping mechanic is next to useless, the enemy variety is not that great, and it does suck coming all the way to the end, only to die and having to start all over can be pretty frustrating at times.

Even with all that said, i do still recommend the game. It is fun, and definitely a good time if you enjoy this kind of game.

This game absolutely succeeds on all possible fronts, from the simple, yet captiavting music to the extremely intense and awesome battles. I cannot recommend this game enough.

Holy crap, this game is amazing. An absolutely stellar soundtrack, simple (but extremely challenging) gameplay, an interesting story, continual updates from the developer.
