I first played this game at the end of 2020 and got surprised very positively. The dense atmosphere, the design of all the haunting sounds, and the game's mystical aura made it a little masterpiece to me. The graphics and mechanics of interaction may seem to be a bit too crude sometimes, but it's still a true hidden gem.

BUT... a while ago I recommended the game to someone else and saw it in their stream afterward. I didn't know about the huge update the game received and was very surprised about how some things were changed.
To be honest, I don't like the big update. Some of the new parts are, to me, weirdly over the top in a way that kills the game's beautiful mysterious aura. It also gets way too cryptic. Towards the end, it felt kinda like watching The End of Evangelion in 1997 without any prior knowledge.
Also, some of the new parts are simply designed badly. For example, the underground sequence in which the monster is hunting the player, and also the "boss fight" seemed buggy and were just annoying.

PS: You're still able to play the original version of the game. It's still worth it!

Haven't played much yet but I already can tell you what: This is exactly what I imagined while thinking about how a perfect modern Outrun clone would look like. I really like the visuals and optional retro graphic options. The soundtrack is also very very nice. Would reccomend.

The hell of a journey towards the sunset. Super fun game. Recommended!
