I know I'm going to get negatively rated for this, but I feel like I have to make a good informed post on this.

I honestly have not encountered any of the issues anyone speaks of about framerate drops, HOWEVER, I have done the .ini uncap, but beyond that, no issues so far.

ANYWAYS, To the meat of this.

I will have to recommend this game, especially if you've enjoyed the Arkham series, and including the comics, movies. Etc, what have you.

The gameplay is smooth compared to the previous two (Origin doesn't count, Sorry.) Combat moves are so much easier to grasp, smooth and doesn't feel so clunky and weighty like the previous entries. You also get new moves. Batmobile doesn't feel shoehorned, transition from walking to mobile is extremely smooth, and is a great help compared to the sheer size of Gotham. It's definitely nice driving around, feels smooth, especially when transitioning from travel to combat mode, However the steering can be a bit floaty at times, you can overshoot your turns, but the mobile makes up for that by turning on a dime quite quickly. (you can do burnouts all day long)

The missions are there, including side missions. It doesn't feel forced and in your face like City had suffered from. I would say it's so much more flexible, but however it loses the feeling of urgency like City did. So there's 50/50 on that one. I quite like how it gives you the key to the batmobile and pats your head and just lets you go do whatever you want without forcing you to continue the story.

Cinematics are built in the game engine and not rendered. It has impeccable transition from gameplay to cinematics and vice versa. It's so nicely done that you can barely tell that you just saw a cinematic, outside of the lack of controls during that time period.

Audio, I cannot tell, unfortunately as I am Deaf. But I would assume it is well done here, the subtitles are especially well done so far from what I see.

So I would rate this game a 8/10.

I highly recommend this. Hope this helps you make a better understanding of the game over the sheer 100's of "GAME DOESN'T WORK." pointless reviews.

Definitely a worthy game after the recent fiascos involving Rome II and so forth. It brings back a lot of the old elements we wanted back in, and it does it smoothly. I've only played roughly 2 hours and I'm still looking forward to more.

However, let me get to my complaints. I love how this game looks visually in terms of GUI and graphics visuals. It's more darker, grittier and more grimer. They definitely reflect the barbaric tribes with the dirt and scraggly looks. It isn't all clean and shiny in terms of armor and appearances like Rome II was.

However, my complaints is within how small the faction access is. It simply needs to add in more, It feels lacking, and the balance definitely needs tweaking, especially with the morale structure. I've had units shatter easily and they've only lost 10 or even 5 guys. So it's a bit rough at this moment, but I could be doing something wrong in terms of my unit handling so I don't know. But take my review with a grain of salt, I've only played it for 2 hours and I haven't fully explored the full features of this game yet.

But would I recommend it a buy? My answer is a resounding yes. It's everything I wanted Rome II to be, and more. Will I return to Rome II after this? Of course. I definitely will be bouncing from different TW games through the years.

Two words: FAMILY TREE!

That is all. Now get to raiding!

This game is more of a modern day remiscient of Baldur's Gate for those who are familiar with Turn Based RPGS that takes an Isometric perspective. However, what makes this game so uniquely different is that it provides a system to create your own custom campaigns. There is no solid plot to work from, you're only provided one story from the Devs to play and that's it. After that, it's up to you to carve out your part in the wide universe.
However, be warned, this game only uses a checkpoint system to save. So you as a player will have to make sure you have plenty of time to play, since you cannot save any time.

I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Cyberpunk style gameplays.
