Literally just a battle of who has better diplomacy / who everyone likes more as a friend

Edit: Still true

My brain itchy-witchy :/

All jokes aside, I really like this game and have enjoyed learning it's mechanics. It really makes you think twice about any move you make!

It's free
It models
It animates
It encourages people to learn the field
What more could you want?

Please don't buy this game.

You'll think it's fun at first and that it has potential until you realize it's massive underlying flaw.
The win condition for this game is simple: Kill the enemy team's commander. Seems fine right? Wrong. There is virtually no effective way of protecting your commander. If the enemy sets their troops to target the commander directly, they will simply walk past any and all defenses and units you have and kill your commander. This means that this game essentially boils down to "who can just build a boatload of small troops the fastest" and does not allow for any strategy. If you do not rush, you will lose. This has led to some (most of them, in fact) very frustrating matches, where I am on the sending or receiving side. Being the sender is no fun because the enemy doesn't stand a chance and can't even put up a fight. Being the receiver is asinine because everything you've been trying to do, even if you have defenses, gets blown up as soon as your commander dies and you lose.

How can you fix this issue? Well, at the minimum, make it so in custom games you can have the commander die and you keep playing until everything you have is destroyed(?) This wouldn't be much better than just having the commander be the game-ender because games could get dragged on, but at the least you can actually have some other strategy besides "RUSH B".

P.S./Edit #1
Also, people can just build stuff that kills everyone on the planet instantly which makes for a very anti-climatic and boring ending

TL;DR
Core flaw of main guy going boom boom, which makes everything else go boom boom, makes the game extremely unfun to play. :(

Edit 10/19
I've now won more than once and I can safely say that the previously stated facts and opinions still stand.

Leave it to THQ to publish the most anticipated game in an unfinished state in which can be beaten in 2 minutes, 13 seconds[www.speedrun.com].

The multiplayer that was hyped nearly everywhere they could access is just a dump of enemies in a bland wave mode, riddled with network lag issues.

While the graphics have improved, the game does not have the replayability that the original BFBB had. The only reasons I see to dump $30 on this game is for the nostalgia or if you plan to try to crack open this game wider than it already has been...

Another great game from Subset games. Into the Breach takes away the 'real time' effect of FTL in replace of a much more complex turn-based system. While I do like the new mechanics, the final fight was a little underwhelming compared to FTL. The main portion of the game was much more difficult to me than the actual final island. But, overall I would definitely recommend this game for purchase.
