I admittedly have not played this game much in the past few years, I bought it upon it's steam release and it was pretty bare-bones. Playable enough to enjoy for a few hours, the dev went quite some time w/o updating. Flash forward to today, and this dude is putting out like three updates a week! Absolutely incredible, I will get back to it at some point. But, for the dev's (i believe it's just one guy) benefit i absolutely recommend.

Is it a good game? Sure, is it the Witcher III in a Cyberpunk world? No. Still pretty fun, would decapitate cultists with a katana again.

I've never paid full price for a Paradox DLC. Except Holy Fury, i can make a religion with incest and human sacrifices, enough said. 10/10

I drove halfway across the United States in 26 hours. That's probably long enough to play one dynasty in this game. Then the mods, I don't think i've played Vanilla CKII in years.

Ever wait at a loading screen for half an hour just for the game that wasn't full to get full? That's ARK, but, atleast you can take a ♥♥♥♥ and throw it at a dinosaur.

I entered this game expecting line battles. Instead I spawn to see a dance party of at least 20 British soldiers dancing to the Cha Cha Slide. Naturally I joined in. We danced for a good five minutes before a mob of French soldiers appeared from the hill. Suddenly the entire group mobilizes and charges them. I witnessed soldiers all around me dying and screaming, the carnage unfolds. I sprint to a French soldier who has me in his sights, my bayonet ready. I'm almost point blank and he fires. At this point i figure i'm dead. He missed me by a mile. Invigorated I jab at him. And miss, then again, and again. Until a random French flag barrer stabs me with his flag on his first try.

10/10 would recommend. This game is fun and definitely unique. The community is pretty great and lighthearted. There are serious linebattles as well if thats more your thing. It also includes naval battles which are very exciting as well. I'm excited to see how they develop this gem. If you're on the fence go for it. It's enough fun to justify the price and the fact it's only EA makes it even better.
