How to play a game that doesn't want to be played? - Just click around the menu for an hour.

I admit, it's a neat and different experience. Now, with that out of the way - it's too short, puzzles are not really as difficult as they could be and it has a strong "fake deep" story feeling. It's not even long enough to earn all of the trading cards.
The first person walks inbetween are just there so they can market a couple screenshots. It could be so much more and I expected it to be.

The price is not worth it, this somwhere in a range of a 0.50€ android game. Buy only when heavily discounted.

Just another generic FPS, targeted at couch-dwelling casuals.

I don't think I played a game so linear and restrictive to the player. It doesn't let you do anything on your own. And that one time, where you somehow manage to rush it and enter the room before it was scripted, everything just bugs out and you have to reload the checkpoint. The game decides where you will go, what you will do and what gun you will use. If you do anything differently, it's back to the checkpoint.

The gameplay mechanics suffer the modern FPS design flaw - first it forces you behind cover so you can regain health, but as soon as you're behind it, the game wants to force you out with grenades.

You're getting about 3-4 hours of gameplay out the singleplayer mode, don't care about the multiplayer. It could be a great game, but it's not.

Pros:
  • Manages to set up a decent story premise at the start

Pros:
  • Fails the story premise pretty soon
  • Bad gameplay mechanics
  • Unlikable, underdeveloped characters
  • Ends the singleplayer with no conclusion, just one last big explosion marking the end of dev funding
  • Short singleplayer
  • Easy, so every controller warrior can shoot the bad guys

Replay value: None whatsoever.

The game is a garbage PC port that won't run on a modern PC with Windows 10 and Nvidia graphics card.

If you wish to play it, dust off your dad's old Pentium 4 and boot up that Vista.

First, it won't even launch until you manually install some obscure Games for Windows Live DRM software. When it finally launches, this software welcomes you to a game by telling you to log in or sign up. Once you get around it, you start a new campaign, you come to a realization that you're not watching a badly done cutscene, but a 4-fps game you're supposed to play. Now you spend 2 hours searching 2015 forums for a solution, only to discover there is none.

Too bad, I bet it's a good game.

I don't see how can this game still be available to purchase.

Riddick meets Starship Troopers.

One could hardly imagine that it is possible to mess up what its predecessor, Red Faction: Guerilla, has established. This is the second game in Red Faction franchise that proves it is. It takes the game mechanics of the RF: Guerilla and packs it in a bleak linear story-driven 3rd person shooter, that is RF: Armageddon. It does offer some enjoyable moments, but mostly you are just doing the same thing over and over again, just to get to the next area to repeat everything you did so far. Meanwhile enemies get bigger and weapons go stronger.

To add to the insult, you're suddenly fighting aliens. Far from what I was expecting to do in a Red Faction game.

Pros:
  • Decent graphics, consistent frame-rate.
  • Enjoyable gameplay style, inherited from the RF: Guerilla.
  • Some weapons are pretty fun.
  • Destructable environment with ability to reconstruct it.

Cons:
  • Bleak storyline, dull characters.
  • Very, very linear storyline.
  • Repetitive environment, missions and enemies.
  • Very little mention of Marauders, Red Faction, miners or any kind of revolution.
  • An 8 hour long swarm of bug-like aliens.

Replay value: None at all.
