I do know what the microtransaction API is because I use it to collect $1 donations.

The benefit to Valve is that microtransactions use Steam Wallet funds and therefore have lower transaction fees as the minimum you can add to your wallet is $5.

gotta love how valve is creating an excuse to ping developers and encourage them to use their automatic price gouger. I just bought some old games on my wishlist that never go on sale but there are others that I regret so much not buying in the summer sale.

You have no reason to limit the price of a developer's game

Terrible change. Revert it immediately, or auto-raise the prices. It's a bad day for game preservation when you wipe out the ability to buy thousands of games because of the developer and/or publisher's lack of economic education on regional pricing - it shouldn't be their job to babysit the numbers.

+1 to the suggestion above about using wallet to purchase and retaining the prices as devs see fit. That's how many already do, no fees, works as a MTX solution.

Why don't you make a rule to stop publishers from increasing the price only in some countries? They only increase the prices for non USA-Europe countries, but USA and Europe also have inflation and they have same game prices as before.

This is ridiculous, I can reason with this treatment for base games but even DLCs? Most of the older games DLCs are cheap and now you're locking content away from players till publishers increase their prices god knows when...

I am 100% sure that not all of the games I will want to play will be purchasable to me again. Not every developer is active on Steam regularly, and there are a good amount of games with cheap prices that I thoroughly enjoy. Please take a different path to solve this problem and not disregard any innocent people suffering from this.

The worst part of this is, what if a developer isn't active on Steam? You could already see it with many, many older titles not even having proper 3:4 banners on Steam. Wondering whether this will be tackled, or completely ignored.
