This possible but this requires matching and temporary store on the Steam server the last UTM for user SteamId.
Whether this violates user privacy is unknown.
I would be tacking on the UTM so it -*might* be used retrospectively
Q. What are Tracked Visits?
A. Tracked visits are by users who logged into Steam in the browser where they opened the UTM link. Only tracked visits are eligible for conversion (wishlist, purchase, activation) reporting.
That means that 95% of people who will click on your ad and get to the browser page will go to Steam application (because most of the people are not logged in to Steam in their browser) and wishlist / buy your game there. But you will not see this wishlist / buy activity, because user closed your link in their browser and searched for your game in Steam application.
Also if we use a link shortener will it still work? Thanks !
That being said, I think it needs to show a little bit more data for tracked users, specifically a column that shows if the user already purchased / wishlisted the game.
It will make understanding the conversion rates way easier for tracked users.
